^ With the price of batteries I'm thinking about investing in a rechargable maglite. They are bloody expensive but it would be pretty awesome to never pay for batteries :)
 
The only thing I look for in a maglite is skull smashing ability. Hence I'm rocking the 4D. 5 and 6 D are practically baseball bat size so a little too hefty for accurate wielding.

Haha, I have a 6D Maglite I bought years and years ago, when I was like 8. I've only just started to realise its full potential.
 
Funnily enough you can actually buy caps that really turn your maglite into a tactical weapon.

You screw them into the base, but personally I'd rather the modification cap that lets you turn it off an on at the base. Oh, and a xenon or LED mod kit if it has just a normal bulb.


What sort of life would you get out of four D's, lostpunk? I'm thinking about getting a 2D just because it would be a more convenient size to fit into my pack and would feel nice in the hand I think :)
 
I actually could not tell you. I only use it sporadically so I have no real memory of how often I replace batteries. I'm sure the maglight website would probably tell you though. I only use it for camping. I have a mini-maglite for hiking too.

That cap is awesome, but outside of redneck America I'm sure illegal. It's easy enough to pass off having a maglite in your car as a torch rather than a bludgeoning instrument but I'm not quite so sure with that end on it.

Haha instead of telling cops not to beat people with maglites they take them away like from misbehaving children :)
 
I was thinking about hating Americans earlier tonight. I really can't take Americans srsly and I think it's because they don't seem to realise that a lot of people don't like them. Despite it being quite obvious. It's really strange.


P.S Lostpunk would look great with dreadlocks. Awesome hippy potential right there.
