OEV vs CEV

I was just thining of this durig my last trip. It happened that it was an extra candyeyed synthetic tryptamine trip, with wonderful OEV. however i was quite surprized at the lack of CEV I got during the trip. This got me thinking, what do i prefer? OEV? or CEV? or a mix of both?

I used to be an OEV kind of guy, because it make me think of the world in a different, magical, beautiful way, but with more night trips, with more introverted experiences, ive come to value CEVs too for their "freedom" of form, and incredible link with music

Also, this was one of the rare occasions where a drug caused me a lot more OEV than CEV (usually it is the other way around). So whats the different proportion between CEV and OEV with the kinds of substance youve experienced?

IME, most tryptamines are more about OEV to me, while PEAs are more with CEVs, with LSD being somewhere in between, more dose dependant (higher meaning more open eyed)

I always preferred OEVs over CEVs until I discovered DMT. CEVs while on DMT are amazing and after blast-off I just shut my eyes and enjoy the show.

I think that OEVs are nicer during the day when I can go outside and have fun in the forest, park, etc. However, at night time, I prefer CEVs because I'm more likely to lay down and explore my head with some music.

^ this.

before i tried dmt i had mostly been using acid always which gives me beautiful OEVs but sometimes bland and boring CEVs. i also hate the fucked up depth perception that comes with OEVs as it sometimes (rarely) reappears in certain circumstances when sober for a few weeks afterwards :(. CEVs don't do that to me.

A medium-high dose not matter if they are OEV or CEV, just do not know if I am with my eyes open or closed. Sometimes not even remember that there are eyes.

personally i was more interested in cev's when i used to do dxm. i think oev's are what most ppl are lookin for when they trip. thats what i do it for mainly.

I'll take the out-of-body-closed-eye-'visuals' of a k-hole over a classic psychedelics open eye visuals any day.

I spend a good portion of my peaks on 4-AcO-DMT with my eyes closed. It can consistently produce dream like visions that feel like I'm dreaming while awake. It's probably the most interesting part of the trip, but I do like the trip to be dynamic. I usually peak, close my eyes for a while and see some visions, then enjoy the OEVs afterward. It also depends on the setting for me though. I can't enter the visions if there are a lot of distractions, and cannabis seems to very much help me go into them, even at low dose trips.

I love love love the closed eyed visions. I like to turn on some good slowish psychedelic trance and just go into them. Those patterns have always been a great fascination for me. How are they caused? Why do they take such a definite shape, and why are they the shape they are? How can your brain create these patterns. They make me feel like I am in some crazy color shifting cathedral. you get those intricate patterns and the colors flow through the pattern, staying with in the bounds of the shapes, never crossing the lines, like god can definitely color in the lines.
However, the synasthesia that I get is separate from the CEVs. The patterns I see with Music/Sight blending are much more in my mind, which enhances the CEVs to almost a sensory overload.

God I love CEVs.... :)
