Hi todd, welcome :)

It takes time for the mind and body to heal but you have 11 days under your belt, that's tremendous work! <3 You will wake up soon. Keep posting, keep us updated. Keeping track of days helps and having a support network helps as well.

<3 we're here for you <3

Thanks stardust. I hope it hits soon im scheduled to go back to work on sat at 600am for 12 hour shift with the biggest group of assholes ive ever worked with anywhere in my life not to mention wearing fulll duty belt ,gun, and vest heavy shit and i can hardly walk now just two days away from that.

Are you still experiencing WD symptoms? Have you looked into Loperamide to help you get through the worst of it? I can link you to some resources if you'd like.

Thanks <3 <3

Potentially triggering for people trying to quit benzos:
NSFW:

<snip -triggering>

JaG (do you like your new nickname, I do :sus: probably because I'm obsessed with NCIS...ramblerambleramble) I like the idea of using nsfw tags for content that isn't directly related/sideways talk/triggering unless it's for a specific person. ;) Nice move indeed.

:) Love it. Believe it or not, I haven't watched NCIS yet! But it's a great nick. Thanks. I still laugh when I remember how, in another thread, we were talking about how everyone pronounces each other's names in their own accent, and a dutch acquaintance pronounced it "joost eh gooey."

Lolol

"Just uh geye" would be my pronunciation.

Sorry for derailment :sus:

Hello everyone!

I registered for this forum specifically to post in this thread. I will be starting my taper off opiates the day after tomorrow, after many attempts to get clean after 3 years I hope this is the one. I had my 3rd overdose recently and really scared my family. I had 3 weeks under my belt after that. I am not sure what went wrong. I joined this community and more specifically this thread hoping that it will even help just a little. It will be well worth it.

Can anyone say how this thread has helped them?

Thanks everyone! I look forward to meeting everyone. ;)

Welcome cameron! This thread is great because it reminds us all that we can start fresh daily and we're able to encourage each other. If you have any questions about Bluelight, feel free to ask. Congrats on taking an active approach towards your recovery. All the best. <3 :)

I look forward to the encouragement. Something I never got from my family. I doubt I will be doing very much posting around bluelight due to the almost complete focus on drugs. I don't want to stumble upon a trigger. Thank you for the best wishes and nice to meet you!

Hey Cameron, welcome!

This thread is great because it reminds me I'm not alone in my struggles, and that SO many people around the world are going through similar things. When you strip us (humans) down, we essentially all have the same basic emotional needs: the hunger for love, attention, a feeling of belonging, and support. We're all so different yet so similar.

I hope you stick around bluelight enough to get what you need <3

Cameron welcome.. allot of people find good success and suport by starting a thread about their detox.. its a real good place to get allot of suport and wisdom. I would consider doing this.

I am doing well.. still kickin relatively good.. the nicotine cravings have subsided a bit today.. yeah a couple of cigars werent worth that.. have a great afternoon everyone.
