I take 1000 - 2000 mg of Tryptophan 2 or 3 times a week. I have been noticing occasionally having CEVs and OEVs. They are subtle but there. Its pretty neat actually and there is never any kind of mental change other than the normal relaxing feel of tryptophan. Has anyone else had this experience with trytophan?

I do take psychedelic drugs on the weekends sometimes so Im sure it is related but I still only get them about an hour or two after taking my tyrptophan.

Not sure whether to move this to psychedelic drugs or not.. tryptophan isn't usually considered a psychedelic drug so I'll leave it here for now but if you don't get any responses I'll try moving it :)

I've never heard of it having these effects I'm afraid! Are you sure it is definitely the tryptophan?

Can't be positive but I only notice it after I take a dose of tryptophan. Its always at night. I take tryptophan as a sleep aid when I need it. Examples are stuff like shadows will start to bend and melt a little...kind of LSDish or sometimes I will think I saw a small animal run across the room but of course it didn't really happen.

Well, taking tryptophan increases serotonin levels, and serotonin activates the 5-HT2a receptor, which is also responsible for the effects of any psychedelic drug.
