I am going to ireland sometime in the next few months and i wanted to bring some OC80's with me, about 10 of them. I have never been on an international flight b4 so i dont really know what to expect. If i leave them in an old script bottle with my name on and they find it, what are the chances of someone being able to recognize whats really in it? And also can dogs smell it? I was thinking about crushing up each one and sticking it in a gelcap from some old antibiotics i have laying around. But ive also heard that there are swiffer machines that can detect residue. I dont think i would pull too much attention to myself, suburban clean cut white boy and ill be traveling with 9 other dudes but i would still like to know all i can. I did a search and found some stuff, but nothing specifically on OC. Any info would be much appreciated. Thanks!

I'd avoid using a prescription bottle with OC's in them instead of whatever should be (new or old) b/c I believe last time I flew into the U.S. and passed through customs it said something about declaring ALL medications (having just two valium's left, I simply swallowed both of them 
). But, I like your idea about crushing them and putting them into gelcaps (specifically if you have antibiotics, cuz I know for a fact that they are powder, not little beads like halal said, in fact only capsules I ran across that have had beads in them are Adderall XR tabs). Even better this way, when you wanna take them they will already be crushed for faster absorbsion and you can just swallow the gel cap (unless you snort them, in which case, simply dump out)...you got a good idea going here man, I think you'll be fine.
Oh and regarding drug dogs...a dog must be trained to recognize a specifical chemical. They aren't just generic drug dogs who will hit on 'illegal drugs'. But I have never read about any being trained to detect oxy, most of the time the most common drugs they are trained on are marijuana and cocaine, then heroin.

Thank you thurgood and halal for your input :D I also noticed that my anti biotics are powder inside, thats why i think they would be a good candidate. I can also get a fresh script of them b4 i go so it wont look too shady, if anyone asks ill just say i am getting over a case of strept.
Does anyone know about the swiffer machines and the x-ray system? how accurate they are and such>? specifically what they see and look for. Would they take my bottle of pills and swiffer them?
If these are stupid questions im sorry, i never been on an international flight so im not entirely sure what to expect. Also where would the best place for the anti biotics be? in my luggage or cary on? i was just gonna throw them in my travel bag where i keep my tootbrush and shampoo and stuff like that, oh and it wont have any metal in it, so that would be one less thing to get searched. i was thinking bout taping 10 caps somewhere on my body, but i heard you pass thru a machine that like see's you naked or something, lol is that true?

I'm wondering if you are worried about getting caught leaving the US, or landing in Ireland? (Is oxy even against the law in Ireland?) I used to take various powders with me on international flights, enough to last the flight but I was too paranoid about foreign customs to try to bring any off the plane with me, so I made sure it got used or flushed in-flight. I never worried much about being caught LEAVING the US, but with the notched-up searches going on these days who knows what they are looking for, or might find.
I routinely travel international with xanax, codeisan and ambien, none of which I have a prescription for. And sometimes ritalin. I leave it in the blisterpacks in my toilet kit in my carry on. So far so good, never a question.

I would just comment that taping gel caps to your body is a sure sign of intent to smuggle (!). On the other hand, if you just happen to have the meds with you, in your toilet kit or wherever, you could always plead ignorance in the unlikely event that anybody notices or cares.

My father carries his medications in those pill cases designed to have your doses for every day of the week. And he takes those aboard flights on vacation instead of bringing all of his bottles. That includes Percocet, OxyContin and Methadone. He's done it 5 times in the past two years and nobody has ever said anything to him.
As long as you don't have some outrageous amount, do exactly what he does. Get a pill planner and put a few different medications in it for every day of the week. If you say you have a prescription, nobody is going to take them away or call to verify it if you just have your daily doses.
