NYC Clubs

Hi,

I just moved to NYC and was wondering if someone could mention some good rave type clubs or such. I figured it would be easier to ask here than trying 10 different clubs only to be constantly disappointed.

NYC is VERY hit or miss these days. It really depends on the night. There's not, IMO, anywhere that's consistently good as there used to be years back. It really depends on the crowd you're looking for too. There are raves held at a cool venue in BK called Electric Warehouse that I've heard can be good, but I haven't personally hit it yet. Ask around about it.

As far as clubs go, I'm sure you won't have a problem locating the bigger ones, but if you're interested in a more classic NYC vibe, I'd suggest Sullivan Room. Tony Touch isn't my favorite dj, but I can't complain about his sets either and the crowd he draws to his Sunday night parties is great, so give it a shot.

You could try Pacha, which may give you an intro to the 'ol "bridge and tunnel" crowd...that will certainly be an experience. I think Pacha is where the Sound Factory used to be...RIP...those were the days.
 
Damn I went to some cool ass clubs in Manhatten about 5 years ago,some chick gave me some X pills to eat and I had a really good time and don't remember the club names of where we went...sorry,I was so high on so much different things while there my memory is cloudy as hell...lol..

False. Plenty of amazing mdma still going around. You just need to know the right people. This is NYC; one of the premier drug centrals of the country.

In regards to the clubs in the city...I think they are quite awful. Maybe I'm bias and I have an agenda against clubs but I really feel like they are completely B&T (Webster Hall). They're so slimy and full of teenagers. I don't know, seems whack to me.

Huh... I have a friend who used to deal MDMA "back in the day" and he told me he hasn't seen a real one in years... meaning the kind of stuff he used to get in early 90's, which was apparently out of sight. But I'm sure it's still around, I just don't travel in those circles anymore and am frankly not that interested in it to put in any effort to look for them...

But yeah, for the most part NYC clubs suck. The heyday is loooooong gone.

'Rave type' isn't exactly easy to find in NYC unless you're on mailing lists for warehouse ragers that are rarely in the same place twice. You're best off looking up specific DJs you like and see where they've played in the past; then look at the venue's lineup calendar and listen to the other artists listed. See if anything tickes your fancy.

TBH, sometimes you have to create your own rave in a room full of assholes. As much as I hate the top floor of webster, I can't deny that they get great artists. Get a group of friends you like and go. Have a good time and just don't expect to make loads of new friends.

Pacha is the epitome of no sense making crowds. They get some pretty good djs though

And real MDMA is always around, just got to look.

One club was in an old church I think , converted into a club..that was like 5 years ago though and it was a lotta teenagers in there ,but the MDMA was good there,and free..lol..but MDMA everywhere now is not like in the early 90's most of the time IMO,,the pills were stronger ,not cut with speed or some unknown drug ,and not a pill with a piperizine drug instead of MDMA. I know there are still good MDMA pills around places,I have done some a few months ago,and they were strong and really good,but now scumbags will press meth or pipes into a pill with the same look and logo as one thats good going around which ruins the dam MDMA biz..Fake pills are just a matter of greed and shit..MDMA pills or powder capsules are still available and still really good,but these bastards are trying to pass off fake shit look alike pills also,so it's a bad deal ,but I'm not much of a MDMA person now,at 33 I have rolled enough that it's kinda "old news" if you get what I mean..Hate to be a teenager now and not know what real MDMA is like ,although some get to do it,some get MDMA mixed with other drugs or not even get MDMA and never know the difference,sad...

Limelight's LONG gone... that was my boy's stomping ground. Though 5 years ago it would've been Avalon already? Now it's a fucking shopping mall.

I know a lot of people from the heydays of NYC clubs & they all told me MDMA or what passes for MDMA sucks these days, at least in NYC... shame shame.
 
^I am from the heydays of NYC clubs and I wil attest to that x10000...what passes for MDMA these days is absolute shit. People will give me molly to try swearing it's pure mdma and it has no mdma in it whatsoever. It's sad.

@Tomer...you're just flat out wrong. Even the occasional pill that isn't dirty still isn't even close to the strength and quality of pills in the 90s. However, like I said, back in '05 there was a decent supply of red hearts and white G Ladies, which were pure mdma and mda. That was before the pipes fucked everything.
 
I'm sorry you guys think I am flat out wrong but think about what you're saying?

NYC is one of the most recognizable, well known, visited cities in the entire world. It has every drug you could possible want and then some. Sure, the quality of certain drugs have gone down over the years. But, to say that it doesn't exist anymore in a MAJOR city like NYC is complete blasphemy. My "friend" got some very pure molly 2 weekends ago. You just need to know where to look.

Put it this way; if there isn't ANY good X in NYC, then there isn't any good X in the rest of the world. I think you guys are truly underestimating how easy it is to get whatever you want in a city like this.

The issue in NYC is the demand. Right now, there is a huge market for pipes and for shit molly. I've witnessed this first hand. As long as this market exists, there's no reason for dealsers to step up their game.

Just recently, there's been a SLIGHT increase in clean pills around. Regardless, as you said, this is NYC so we should have lots of good strong pills and molly around and that's just not been the case for months now.

Far as now vs. years ago...there's no comparison. However, having lived in the NYC area for my whole life, I'll say that there's always been periods of garbage pills. These periods end when people get sick of eating shit and stop buying, which of course forces the dealers to up the quality of their product. Problem is many people now eating pipes don't care, so who knows when things will change in a big way.
