Speaking of overdoses, I just posted the link about fentanyl bags killing 4 people on Long Island so far. The stamp is 24K. I think that article just mentions 2 cases but I first heard about it on the local news this morning and they said 5 people.

I wish we got stamp bags on the west coast. They seem so fun id want to scrapbook them or some shit. Part of the excitement for me would be checking out what stamp i got after copping.

I wish the Mexis over here would get more creative w our bags.
 
They say that the bags that Philip Seymour Hoffman overdosed from were the Ace of Spades and Ace of Hearts bags. The Ace of spades bags were around a few years ago and the news even reported that they haven't been seen since 2008 in Brooklyn. There were two different batches of it, some being a regular stamp that was inked like the playing card, and the others being taped with the stamp.
 
^Of course, there's a lot of repeats and knock-offs when it comes to dope stamps, or even cases where a stamp resurfaces 100 miles away....

I have no idea what the deal is with these particular bags, but I'm mentioning it because
yourself and others are saying that these stamps haven't been widely seen in a few years.

I wonder if it was an old bundle someone gave him by chance, or if he left it in drawer somewhere and forgot about it. Of course, maybe those stamps are still being bagged in limited quantities.

News of his death has had more of an emotional impact on me than the overdose death of any celebrity has before. He was such a unique actor, I think a lot of people really felt a personal connection to some of the characters he played, especially some of the really weird, funny ones where he wasn't quite a main character.

It's shocking how straightforward his death seems to be...He had a bundle, didn't know how strong they were....did the shot, and nobody else was around to do anything about it...which is how it usually happens...

Not that it matters at all, but this isn't the typical modern "Hollywood" OD, with the cause of death being a prescription drug cocktail that nobody's sure about. This was a bundle NYC dope with a needle still in his arm...

Could have been fent bags too, but considering that it's supposed to be an old stamp, it makes it less likely...

Has anyone else realized how hard it is to find methadone in NYC lately? I used to always see people selling it on craigslist, but now I'm trying to get clean and all the sudden no one has methadone anymore and all the posts on craigslist are looking for it.

I have enough to last me about 4-5 days, but I don't think that'll be enough to get through the withdrawals. I was thinking to try suboxone once the methadone runs out, I know I have to wait until the methadone is out of my system, but I'm not sure if that'll work well or is a good idea. Anyone else have any experience with it or know if that'll work to get through the withdrawals? I know I'd have to wait to take the suboxone, I don't want to risk going into precipitated withdrawal, does anyone know how long I'd have to wait to take the subs if I've been taking about 50 mg of methadone for 4-5 days?

Too bad for Hoffman too. I've done those bags he OD'ed on. Was probably a different batch though because they are saying it was fent laced and I never remember that dope being super strong. It was good but people weren't OD'ing in droves back then off it.
 
^They are saying it's fentanyl now? I never test my heroin in a lab, but I personally think that fentanyl ends up in a lot of dope, the only time you ever really hear about it is when a batch kills a bunch of people.

Shit, there were guys in their fifties we used to run into in detox that literally thought all heroin was actually fentanyl since sometime in the '80s! (and other fentanyl conspiracy theories...)

In fact, the first time I even ever heard of fentanyl was an old dope fiend telling me the whole "It's all fentanyl" theory...I didn't know what he was saying when he said "fentanyl", and he had one of those really gravelly voices that a lot of hard core junkies and alcoholics that have been chain smoking for twenty years have...So, it was funny to us when he said multiple times, "It's all fentanyl" in his ancient drug user voice!

I was in detox with my best friend at the time, and since we didn't know exactly what fentanyl was, and because of the way this guy talked, "Its all fentanyl!" became one those stupid inside jokes..but, turns out it wasn't all that funny, there was actually some truth to what the guy was saying....

These ace of spades/hearts bags also sounds familiar to me too. But I also don't remember it being that strong. Considering he had 7 bundles worth of bags found, i think that's kind of hard to just leave in your drawer for years after getting clean. I know that if i did that, there's no way I would be able to not touch it for years. Maybe it's a new repeat of an old stamp. But I was also shocked by his death. The calibre of talent that he had was just so easy to admire and be amazed by. And I just saw 'The Talented Mr. Ripley' like 2 days before his death. That was weird cause he also dies in the movie.
And most of the fentanyl that is laced in these bags is also made in a clandestine lab. So I've heard...

Yeah I don't remember the Ace of Spades/hearts bags being super strong either. But, it was years ago that I did them so it's almost definitely a different batch right now.

The fentanyl that is being cut into these bags all over the east coast is most likely an analog. Either Butyr-fentanyl or Acetyl-fentanyl. RC vendors are carrying them so it's not a leap to think somebody is ordering large amount of it and mixing it into their dope supply.

It's a serious problem and I imagine we're going to see a large crackdown on these opioid RC's where vendors are going to stop selling them after all the media coverage and deaths. That kind of shit is bad for business.

24K has also been rumored to contain fentanyl and causing a lot of OD's.

The best thing to do is always do a tester dose when getting a new stamp. Take a very very tiny amount, a fraction of what you'd normally do, to gauge the potency no matter what the stamp is if you haven't done it before.
 
Can someone tell me why one would cut dope with fentanyl unless the dope was absolutely terrible/non-existent.That's just wasting good fentanyl IMO and if you had a fent. connect why bother with the garbage,unless of course you're cutting your 'fire' fent. w/ the shit dope.I can't imagine there's so much Fent. powder around that it's more cost effective than baby formula.It certainly can't be easier to make with all the precursors,lab equip. and know-how compared to how easy it is to make proper heroin.I think "Fentanyl laced" is just a catch-all term LE uses for potent dope.Makes em sound smart,like they know their shit. Just look at the pre-toxicology hype flying around PSH's death and all the backpeddling they had to do re: their fent. theory.IDK,if I'm wrong please explain.

People do it to make their dope really good, so word spreads and they get clients, however... the guys cutting it have no clue what they are doing and they put way too much.. so it ends up killing people.
 
I get that.But I'd be interested to see how much dope really tests pos. for fent.I jus don't think it matches the hype.It's usually not the DEA hyping it.It's states,local PD or the clinics.But they never positively test for it AFAIK.The only warninig I saw when I was still on the clinic was for a cut that turned out to be some pharmaceutical that fucked with your immune system(prolly some anti-rejection drug).They knew exactly what it was so it had to be chemically tested for.Have u ever seen,heard or read of dope actually testing for fent.? If it's really suspected they should/could give the cops a field test for that too.Otherwise,theoretically you could be caught with just fent. powder but the field test would come back neg. for dope the same way methadone would test neg. for dope.No?

Dope tests for fent all the time. All that shit killing people on the east coast in PA and shit, the Theraflu bags, etc, came back positive for fent. Every few years or so, another wave of fent cut dope turns up and does damage. But, compared to all the dope out there, the amount that is actually cut with fent is pretty small. Still, it doesn't take much, and the times it does happen.. like what went down recently, a lot of people end up dead.
 
i think that fent just increases the habit so they can make more money off the people that can handle it wenever i fucked w patches that shit boosted my tolerance so high . plus when heads drop 100 heads go lookin for it.
