For about 3 or 4 days now I've had a constant numbness in the tips of my 2 big toes. There's no discoulouring, and they are a normal temperature. Just a pins and needles style numbness.

It started the day after taking around 300mg mdma. Whilst on the mdma I had lots of amyl nitrate (poppers). I also had lots of benzo's afterwards.

I'm thinking its some sort of vascoconstriction caused by the mdma (and maybe poppers?)? If so, is it something that will pass with time? No other symptoms at all by the way.

yeah sounds like vasoconstriction. used to get it a lot from mephedrone in various areas. didnt used to last constantly for days though. it would come or go

The other Wayne Rooney has a numbskull and it never did him any harm, could be bad circulation, do you smoke?

Chop em off?

If it helps, a friend developed bad circulation through excessive mdma use and it went after a while but came back after larger binges. ... She just lives with it and all her fingers are still intct.

Wouldn't hurt seeing a doctor though...

A warm bath can help restore circulation in toes assuming there's not a more serious underlying problem. A hot bath might be a bad idea if you have heart issues though.

There's not really much we can suggest mate, really.

Best thing to do, an mentioned, hot baths and movement, try and get the blood flowing. If it gets worse or doesn't get better then a trip or call to your GP could be on the cards.

Don't really know what anyone else can add really. I'll leave this open until the morning, just in case someone comes in with a cure.

Don't mean to sound sharp and cold by closing it in the morning but there's only so many ways to get blood flowing through your toes! Hope it gets better and you're comfy again soon.

Do your shoes fit properly? Are there holes on both shoes near the big toes due to the way you walk? If this were vascoconstriction related I'd expect to see all your toes and potentially your fingers effected too.

Anyway, stick an extra pair of socks on and take a warm bath (not with the socks on, I may add). I certainly wouldn't worry too much, without discolouring of the toes you can pretty much rule out the triggering of an underlying condition ala Raynauds.

TLDR: You'll be fine. Follow up with a GP in a few days/week if still unsure.

Used to happen to me all the time when I was caning the drone and M1 every weekend, it was really bad, as two years ago I had driving lessons every monday and sometimes I had to pull over because I would completely lose sensitivity on my feet, I was completely unable to feel the pedal under my foot and sometimes I was losing control over my lower leg.

It was bad enough to interrupt my lessons, always told the guy it was because I had been playing football on the weekend.

I always have numbness in my 2 big toes. In my case its just hard skin which gives the sensation of numbness. Nothing to do with circulation.

BTW WayneRooney - Amyl Nitrate is a vaso-dilator, the opposite to a vaso-constrictor!

MDPV gives (used to give rather) me terrible numbness all through my toes, and the fact it is the least enjoyable drug I have ever tried, but felt compelled to keep sing it, I don't do that any more, I wonder why I ever did, it also used to give me chest pains, other wierd crampy symptoms etc, horrid.

Meph does a bit if I hammer it over a few days.

"Coke" does it to me badly (but fuck knows whether i'ts coke or any of the variable, unknown cuts in it), but hardly ever do coke any more cos it's shit, not coke, "coke". As soon as I have a line of coke, or "coke", my toes go ice cold and lose feeling, this lasts way longer than the pisspoor high.

Speed does it, but don't do speed any more.

Can't remember md ever doing it to me, but it probably does cause it a bit.

Are your toes Ice cold too?

As Peices says in "Things to do in Denver when you're dead":

Pieces (Christopher Lloyd): "I lost a toe the other day. Believe that shit? A toe!! I found a croaker downtown, diagnosed it as a circulatory problem. A fuckin' circulatory problem! I want to kill the bastard but I can't get my fingers around his......" (makes grimace of futility and flexes mangled hands)

I'm going to shift this over to Healthy Living as you'll likely get more info and experienced opinions over there (though I do not doubt your medical abilities, EADD ;) ).

p.s. Hiyer HL :)

So they're still numb most of the time, with tingling sensation at other times. It hasn't spread or got any worse.

I'll probably go and see a doctor in a few days.

Been taking some calcium and other various supplements for the last 2 weeks, and I've never taken supplements before. I'm thinking over consumption of supplements could be the issue (though this may be optmistic thinking considering it started straight after a stims session)

Any followup on what happened? I tried molly 2 days ago and have been having numbness on the tip of 1 big toe.

There are many potential reasons for big toe numbness, which can be read about here:
http://www.yogawiz.com/blog/home-remedies/big-toe-numbness-and-tingling-causes.html

In my practice, the most common reason for numbness in the lower body is sciatica, which means the lumbar spine, or sacroiliac joint are out of alignment.

It's hard for us to diagnose you. Your doctor may want to do blood work to rule out anemia or gout, and do various tests like the babinksi reflex test to make sure there is no nerve damage.

Good luck.
