Hello,

i would like to know if having a numb palate and not being able to taste food properly as well as swallowing or even chewing, is in any way related to drugs or alcohol. Even sneezing is a bit painful. Can it just be a sinus infection thing?

thank you for any info.

Cocaine can temporarily make your nose and mouth numb as it is a local anaesthetic, but only temporarily.

Not being able to taste is often actually due to not being able to smell. Could be a sinus problem, we can't possibly tell you over the internet though. Please go and see a doctor for your medical advice, rather than asking on a forum about HR related to recreational drugs!

If you have problems swallowing, please go to the ER immediately

I'm going to close this, as we could speculate for ages about what the problem might be, when really you just need to see a doctor.

Hope you get better soon! If you have any queries, shoot me a pm..
