Man, this drug is so whacky. Seems like there is an infinite number of reactions to it. In my opinion , this drug is absolutely useless. Before I post my experience, let me preface it by saying that I have absolutely zero opoid tolerance(Never have had one either), haven't taken any kind of opiate in 2 years(and ive also never tried oxy, morphine, or any of the other hard stuff, so I have no bias when it comes to Ducynta, and nothing to compare it to besides vicodin/tramadol), and this was my first time using it.
My doctor prescribed me twenty 75mg Ducynta for a surgery coming up, so to test how i'd react, I took just two for a dose of 150mg. It was a very slow come up but pleasant enough and I was initially very excited. Hardly did anything for my pain though, and then about an hour later, tapered off to a pretty unimpressive buzz. I then upped the dose to 350mg and am still as of yet feeling hardly anything. I just hope this weak pharmaceutical is taken off the market, so patients will no longer have to waste their time and money.
Maybe other people react better to it, but all in all, Ducynta seems like a fail.
*EDIT*: Just for additional information, I am six foot, 180 LBs, and did have somewhat of a full stomach. Also, method of administration was parachuting.
