Opioids Nucynta discussion

Has anyone ever heard of this pill? I know its prescribed for pain, but is it a synthetic opiate or what? Im guessing it is since its used for pain but im not sure. I've never heard of it but one of my friends just got it in and I just banged it but I do not feel anything. Can someone give me more info on this pill?

Nucynta is the brand name of a drug produced by Janssen Pharmaceuticals- the component drug is a synthetic opioid called Tapentadol.

Tapentadol is not a "real" opiate; it's more like tramadol.
