Actually, that's exactly why we have the rule, because saying "I can get that cheaper" or "It's so expensive round here" doesn't add much to the discussion. Obviously, this is the social, but as I say we don't want to create a loophole.
Look, it's fairly difficult to police people's thoughts. Derogatory language is not allowed under the BLUA. There are words which, because of the context in which they are generally used, are not allowed at all on this site. Of course we can't completely get rid of any homophobia whatsoever, but there are reasonably simple rules which can be helpful in reducing it. In the same way, the price rule is reasonably simple to implement and to understand. In any case, you can't go around calling people cocksuckers anywhere else in CD. Because of the jokey nature of this thread, we're more relaxed about people cracking on each other. We don't have to be; in fact, plenty of people don't think the focus forums should have social threads at all. We have them only if there are mods who are willing to deal with them- that is why OD has no social. As such, it would be nice if modding this thread wasn't such a chore.
I would have thought it was obvious that it doesn't make my life easier. I don't particularly like waking up and having to make posts like this before I do anything with my day. The easiest thing for me would be if CD had no rules, and I was just an exalted figurehead. However, we have rules, which we have because we feel they will lead to the kind of discussion that we want in the forum, and we try to implement them in a way which, though posters might not like, will feel is fair.

Keep it up.I will be the FIRST to admit that the loss of the 2006-2010 price thread saddened me greatly but put the nail in the coffin... we just can't discuss drug prices or paraphernalia prices. That's not a rule I came up with, but it was one I was tasked with enforcing. Head over to grasscity if you want to see what allowing basically whatever yeilds. (hint: a fucking mess filled with dick sizing). Price discussion can also yeild to "where/how did you get X for Z$?!?! You live close to me!" It's just not really a useful thing to include all over the place. That's why I miss the price thread, it was arranged well and helped me figure out what obscure drugs SHOULD cost in my area. It was very well modded as well (probably why it got closed, to much work) due to dick sizing or outright lies... and then slowly it became a sourcing thread, hence why it was axed, which is a shame. Few bad apples....
As I always put on the front page on each of these socials, the rules are there and clear and I don't want to get someone ridding my nuts to infract someone for something stupid so I prefer it if nobody does anything that is infract-worthy. I'm not here to make enemies, I'm just here to try and keep CD up to par in the eyes of the Smods and community.
