Everyone in new haven/ bridgeport is a yankees fan for the most part, and they are really hateful towards red sox fans. It really is a brutal rivalry, one of the worst in sports. Think about it, if there's anything I've learned about this area by living here my entire life- new york is full of fucking assholes. Boston is full of fucking assholes. New york and Boston are also very close to each other with only tiny little CT separating them, which probably makes things worse. The two teams end up with fans who are very loud, obnoxious, angry and irrationally violent. It is not uncommon at all for new york fans to jump a boston fan ore the other way around. Also, Bridgeport (and or new haven although bridgeport is a little worse even though the two cities practically touch eachother) is a really, really shitty city with a wicked high crime rate. CT for the most part is a nicer area, but not bridgeport or new haven. I rarely go there. You'll get shot for the $3 in your wallet. Now we got some silly New Hampshire motherfucker talking shit on the yankees (and rightfully so, yankees suck my balls) at some bar in Bridgeport, people look at that as a reason to stab you in the neck with a pencil, no questions asked without a moment's hesitation. I'm not saying I agree with it, i think it's a mad stupid reason to try and kill someone, but that's just sort of how it works in the area. Lol one of my friend's dad got arrested and was on TV on that judge judy show for starting a fight with a yankees fan inside a Home Depot. That's just the additude these people take. That plus the fact that Bridgeport is the fucking hood (think mini detroit. You wouldn't fuck around and say something stupid to the wrong person there would you) = dudes getting shanked over baseball.

A not so complicated equation spelled out to sound way more complicated than it is.

I just moved from fairfield county. There are 2 kinds of people that live there. The ones who drive in their mercedes/bmw/audi and have too much money, and the people who drive around in their hooptie ass '94 civic who sell drugs to the rich people to make ends meet.
