AP, I never once heard you suggest that all the bankai talk didn't belong in CD Soc, we talk about trips for a few posts and it's uncool? C'mon mayne.

^First post in every CD social.. if you look under the NSFW tag you'll see the first rule is to keep the drug questions/discussion 'light'. In OD social the first rule was to not talk about drugs. Bluelight, practically in its entirety, is dedicated to drug discussion. Socials are supposed to be for discussion on topics other than drugs.

I've told Chainer to chill on the drug talk a couple of times cause he does talk about it a lot.. I mean, I don't really care all that much but the 'How High Are You?' thread is in DC and there is a whole forum dedicated to Trip Reports. Like I said, I'm not saying I'm against talkin' about it since it's part of pretty much all of our normal daily lives.. but that is not what the social is here for.

I'll give you that 100%. Old rap is wayyy better than any new rap. Only problem is that they're both not good. -5 is a lot more than -110, but they both still don't even equal 0 when put together, or subtracted, or whatever the fuck you call it...

my analogy had much better flow

hard to believe i'm not even high atm

rap is not music. but it is sound. it is for the ears. but you really have to get into the lyrics to understand the genre. I have a *buddy that raps. His poems are amazing. I prefer them as poems. When he is performing I can't understand what he says because he raps fast fast fast. I have learned a lot about the genre from talking with him on our way to the spot. I put his cd in and he explains the thing I am hearing to me.

I still don't actually enjoy the sound of rap but I am learning to understand it and the culture behind it. If you want to learn about it (which I bet you don't%) ) get yourself a rapper!

well I understand the concept behind it, and entirely respect the fact that these people have a lot to say, but I still could care less 'cause it sounds like shit. Plus, maybe some local rappers are more down to earth but what I gather from it, new school rap is all about rims, money, and fucking bitches. Old school rap is about being black and shooting cops and gang banging. None of which I have any interest in (besides fucking bitches but you don't hear me bragging on a CD with a bunch of stupid noise in the background)

Is rap just hip hop without the beats? :| I liked it when it was cool ;) Public Enemy, Run DMC etc
