Heh, it'll be a long time until Yazan becomes Alex. Either way, I'll take two-- the cheque is in the mail!

Sorry to hear about the fibromyalgia; how are you treating it?

Thanks for the kind words, guys :)

I wrote this post right after I came back from an appointment with a psychiatrist. He concluded that I've been suffering from undiagnosed fibro for a while now. He thought I was treating it fine as-is (Gabapentin + Welbutrin), but suggested I try a regimen of Lamotrigine because it is covered by the government's drug plan while gabapentin isn't and costs about as much as gold. I've tried lamotrigine by itself a long time ago and all it did was make me a bit slow. Maybe it'll have positive synergy with Welbutrin.

But wanna know what ACTUALLY worked for whatever it is that I am sick from? Yep, you guessed it. KETAMINE.

I am actually working on a database of research supporting the therapeutic use of Ketamine. So far, I have collected about 114 journal entries.

As in taking it daily? I'd be worried about Olney's Lesions myself, but I know a lot less about dissociatives than other chems. Really though, is it actually treating the problem, or just numbing you to it? And is that any different from the other meds you're taking?

Most of these are rhetorical I guess. I'd take GHB therapeutically if I could get my hands on it, but at the same time it probably wouldn't stay therapeutic for long. :\

Here is my method for therapeutic use of K: http://www.bluelight.ru/vb/showthread.php?t=372731

Long story short, taking a very low dose <20mg several times daily for the length of about a week. The positive results last at least a month after the last dose. Btw, Olney's Leisons are almost a myth now, and even if they are real, it seems they don't do much harm. There are at least 15 big studies that reinforce the idea that Ketamine at low doses has a wide range of therapeutic effects... and a hundred+ others that reinforce these findings.

GHB, on the other hand, destroyed my life. I was addicted to it for just over a month, reaching a point where I have to redose every 2 hours, 24/7 (sleep time included). Hear me out when I say you ought to feel lucky you don't have access to it :).

I know I should feel lucky, but there are some days where I could really just use a refreshing G nap :)

I have to go to bread now, but I'll give that post a proper read when I have the time to do it right. I'd be keen on reading a ref or three too if you have the citations handy.

^ I've actually constructed a bibliography using a PHP-based free software. It currently has more than 100 studies somehow related to the issue. As soon as it comes to life, you'll be the first to be notified :).
