Street corner glows bright
I cast the luminance of sodium
Perched above the atrocity below
As a life is torn apart and
A bond is carried away by
The stagnant breeze of deception
And a new bond is formed from
Hated, malice and revenge
Tears from a hooded figure cascade
To the cement, worn away by
So many like him before
Two walk away and only one remains
Casting a long shadow, the color
Of pain.
With time, he is carried off
To another world, but the
Shadow he cast on the
Ground far below me
Remains a constant reminder
Of the November that will
Never fade away
