novel phenethylamine-based stimulant

As far as i know, there are no 'classic' phenethylamine drugs (unless you count cocaine) with a nitrogen-bridge structure. I wonder what the effects of this drug would be like. I'm guessing roughly comparable to methylphenidate, but the lone pair on the N is probably oriented differently, so who knows.

It's a tertiary amine so I would expect less activity. Shulgin made some bridged stuff based on fencamfamine and it wasn't so great...

I bow to your superior knowledge! I imagine making it optically pure would push the price up somewhat. Any data on the potency of the different isomers?

Fed it to rats, they ate less! Dopamine reuptake inhibitor... All I can remember (wanders off mumbling about giant moths secreting perchloric acid being the reason lab coat is in tatters )

this is another DAT inhibtor that shows that all that is required for DAT inhibition is a nitrogen a certain distance from an aryl group.
