not too worried about what's ahead,
possible because we're already...dead.
not too worried about what's happening today,
because it'll involve me going out of my...way.
not too concerned about the state of the world,
cause the government can cope w/ whatever is unfurled.
I'm a product of today.
I was raised on TV and Milo, playing in the street until dusk and coming in for a baked dinner of genetically modified foods. My parents and family are God-fearing citizens who forgot to think and believe that John Howard is always right. Of course he is, he's the Prime Minister.
So when they ask me about the impending doom in the Middle East, I just laugh and tell them not to worry. Johnny'll make it all better.
Won't he?
(This does not reflect my views at all. I wrote it after meeting a person at the beach today who is the subject of this piece.)

Oi reckun Johnny 'oward's doin a sensoitional job, ay!! Farken oaf!! Cos, if it wasnt for the Yanks, we'd all be fukn Japanese now, ay!! Farken oaf!!
(Yeh, sarcasm)

'Ken oaf mayyte. 'Ken oaf. Just goin' down the pub 'till this war shit's over ay.

probably the same person who's excited now that sports are back on the front page of the paper with Warney.
nice piece!

^^^ Yeah, that just makes me SICK. I mean ugh, i cant belieeeveeee Shane fucking Warne has been all over the news of late.. we are about to go to war, and the Newspaper corporations choose to put a cricket player on the front cover over some silly issue? Talk about priorities.
The person in the piece, wow, thats like so many of my old friends.... living in the whole consumer society, swallowing every word the media/government shoves down their throat.
Ps... Sydney- Walk against war rally this sunday 16th Feb, HYDE PARK Sydney. See you there!
