Not to be dick, but what the fuck happened to Bluelight

We really need another summer of love

I couldnt agree more. When did pilling and drugs become a competition? I always loved the unity, something you couldnt get in the 'real world' outside the rave or festival.

I buy into the slagging of kiddie Yanks for a while cos its nice for me to feel superior. Yes the majority of them are idiots. But theyre OUR IDIOTS. Let them roll their balls and flip their candy. And when theyre crying the next day emptied by the whole experience, we'll remind them that it all works out ok and we'll all have more fun next time.

So lets stop categorising each other just to make ourselves feel superior. We're all supposed to be just having fun and escaping reality for a few hours. Otherwise we may as well just be having 8 pints of Guinness, a curry, and a fight with a stranger on the way home. Ecstasy is about accepting us all together not outdoing one another. Leave that to the coke heads, drunk students, and bankers.

yeah to reduce risk i organised it so that i sent them all to one person, then they were supposed to forward them on to the other recipients..unfortunately one guys "dad" ended up confiscating everyone elses further down the line. much like communism my plan worked in theory but failed due to human greed

I stay away from the "Ecstacy" Discussion mainly because americans claim it as there own and unless theres a country in the title [UK!] the expect otherwise, "manchester, oh yeah near Boston dude??".... lol

I find a few things more funny than annoying

"dude this rolls are FIRE"
"im rolling ballz"
"im candyflipping"
"im hippyflipping"
"dude 100mg is too much"
"i rolled 3 times in the past year, did i lose my magic"
"its been 2 months after my roll, still feeling the side effects"
"ive preloaded with 5htp and vitamins for 5 months prior to my roll, is my magic ok?"

ha ha, so true

I've rarely wandered outside EADD in the past 10 years.
Apart from when a search has led me to ADD, PD or OD.

You sometimes forget that other sections exist. Until one day you decide to click on New Posts & suddenly find yourself scrolling through bullshit.... realising you took a wrong turn somewhere.... thinking "I'd like to go home now please.... regardless of the influx of smackheads!" ;)

yeah, I only used the Psychedelic forum at first.. This one's much better though I can't help feel disconnected from the non-UK users, I find it hard to relate to alot of the stuff they go on about.. different drug cultures and such.

i was 15 when i came to bluelight for ecstasy info 10 years ago.

Give the kids time, they learn and grow.

FTW.

Wasn't pills and I was older than that but I learnt. I was less informed than any cunt in BDD you see before you for at least the first year I was signed up. I think some people are missing the point entirely - there's drug dealing/socialising BL and there's actual BL like wot it's meant to be, was intended to be and is actually run. The former may be fun but the latter is vital and is what keeps people alive who who would otherwise not be.

Not so much "lol" as "jesusfuck - how self-important are these twats?!?" surely. B+W?

Or just plain ol' "ah! but he's a bit of a cockend" at best, no?

No loss either way really... but I'm sure they feel they are and can keep on strokin' securely :)

Some people are just to old and cannot remember what is was like to be 17ish (I think that is the average age in ED). Let the kids be, we were no better at their age. I laugh at some of the posts I read, not only in Ed, but that laugh I have is definitely a lot more different that what most members in this thread are having.

Most of you are missing the point of this board, and its purpose, and in all honesty, if all the members that are whining about what has happened to Bluelight etc, there is always Advance Drug Discussion, where if you are all so clued up and get annoyed by reading I am rolling ballz etc can go and have more in depth discussion about chemicals... But most of you are not, so there are two sides to a coin... You will have young immature perhaps users, i.e. ED and then very experienced users, i.e. ADD and PD... And for us that are somewhere in between, well looking down at the younger members and less experienced is not... you get the picture...

So unless you are posting in ADD I really think none of us have the right to look down upon the younger users... Even those who can post in ADD and have respect.

LOL.....actually most of those 16 year old American twats know more than you do about music and drugs.

As for the age limit, I was joking....of course there should not be one. But I hope the young ones are getting the right advice when they as 'should i roll in class' when they are 13.

As for what this place used to have that i have noticed seems to be gone, it a bit of an edge, you know? There was always the PLUR crowd I guess....

I go over to the ecstasy discussion and its a bunch of pre-teens asking if its ok to roll on a plane or at their middle school dance.

FFS, this place needs a minimum age!

</rant>

I moderated E Discussion before it was even called E Discussion (check my join date ;)). Honestly, it was always like that. The reason we have AusDD and EADD is because those forums were US-dominated and the rest of us needed somewhere to talk. But even then, there are non-Americans in there: in ED I can think of me, Bilz0r, MazDan, Masheadatronic and there are surely many more.

On the age limit: it's been discussed before but we need to educate the yoof (and how could we enforce an age limit anyway?). Too, some of our best members have been 14 or 15 when they joined. I'd hate to see them as unwelcome.

Welcome back, what was your original name ? :)

I don't think it's a good thing for anyone looking down on anyone else to be honest, whether you're an ADD neuroscientist or not. Banter is fine but sneering, jeering and mocking is not called for and reflects more on the sneerer than the besneered.

If bluelight's primary goal is harm reduction through education, it has to have a community which will benefit from that. So it's critical that BL is a place where people can enjoy themselves, and I think that's a huge part of the reason it's such a popular site. Personally I think the balance struck by most of the participants is bang on.
