Not sure what I'm 'withdrawing' from

I've put withdrawing in inverted commas because basically I've not got anything like sever withdrawal symptoms, just anxiety and horrible insomnia. I'm still functioning fine, so don't want it to come across as if I'm in desperate trouble. I'd just like a few questions answering.

Basically I used a decent amount of diazepam and xanax over the space of 2 weeks a few weeks back (probably about 10mg xanax, and 100mg diazepam). At the same time, and for a week or so before I'd been using Phenibut (1-2g) on a regular basis, probably 4/5 days a week. And finally I started taking Etizolam 3 days ago. I've taken 10mg of this in 3 days.

I haven't had any diaz/xanxax since last Saturday night (6 days ago), and no Phenibut since Tues (3 days ago).

Last night I got this horrible anxiety and insomnia, but I don't know which drug to blame? I don't know whether Etizolam has any cross tolerance with the benzo's. If so, with its short half-life perhaps that could be to blame? But having said that I had also taken a lot of Phenibut over a sustained time. And the 'withdrawal' effects came about 48 hours after the last dose?

I'd like to cut-down all drugs. Completely cutting out diaz and xanax. But don't klnow what order to do it in order to avoid any more nast effects.

BTW I took 1mg Etizolam this morning

Taper the phenibut slowly but surely.

Stop Xanax and etizolam altogether.

Taper with Valium slowly.

And go see a doctor before doing anything.

I have no benzo's left (other than the Etizolam ). I won't be going to Dr unless it get's worse.

I'll stop the Etizolam though, and just take a little Phenibut if I feel I need to.

Like I mentioned, it really isn't anything severe. So as long as it doesn't get worse I don't think I need to see a doctor. Just wondered if anyone here could pin-point which was the most likely culprit.

If the culprit was Phenibut, and my last dose was 72 hours+ ago, when would any withdrawal effects present or disappear?

As phenibut has a ridiculously long half life, withdrawals can kick in 3 days after the last dose.

I'm going to guess it was Phenibut then. And that etizolam hid its inital effects, and I'm hoping yesterday was the worst of it. Feel much better today. I'll see how I go without anything.

DEFENITELY the phenibut.

This shit has the most horrible withdrawals that go on for days, up to a week. The only way to ge through them is either to take 1 gram of phenibut when you really need to calm down or sleep, no more than once a day, no more than 3 times a week. or for relief opiates/oids work great and valium and benzoes too. treat it like you would benzo withdrawal. and for the stomach cramps and all buscopan and immodium

just a thought but alot of psych drugs make your seratonin levels spike sometimes long after your last dose, vey high seratonin levels can be alot like withdrawing i went through that once when i was kicking off opiates and i took a shitload of melatonin (wich metabolises into seratonin) maybe something to look into.
P.S. have a few drinks that might help

^Not a good idea to recommend alcohol for benzo withdrawal. Hell, they even recommend benzos for alcohol withdrawal.

is that 100mg diaz a day, or over the course of 2 weeks?

Sounds like you have just been taking a lot of GABA drugs in the last couple of weeks. I would not really class what you have as withdrawals, just stop the drugs for a few weeks and stick it out for a day or two while your brain chemistry resets.

You do not need to taper the benzos if it was 100mg in total over 2 weeks, and your last dose was 6 days ago.

Don't take any more etizolam or alcohol. Just stick it out, everyone has a bad night every now and then.
