Not one to mix pills, but I need to take a benzo!

As the title states, I'm never one to encourage mixing opiates and benzos. However, I really feel like I need to take a benzo. As to why, I really don't want to get into. I do have an opiate tolerance, around 60-120mg a day of oxycodone (insuffulated). I've been doing this daily for the past few months, minus the past few days that I have been on morphine. I've taken 75mg orally today of morphine, with the last 15mg dose being around 5 hours ago. Would I be okay to take a mg or two of Clonazepam? I don't have a benzo tolerance.

If you really must, start with 0.5mg and see how you feel.

Mixing Opiates and Benzos or any CNS depressants for that matter is dangerous. But IME its relatively safe if you're using low doses and seeing as oxycodone is more potent than morphine and you've been doing about 80-90mg a day on average and taking into consideration that morphine has a really low bioavailability orally and the fact that your last morphine dose was 5 hrs ago i'd say it'd be safe . As for dosage, taking into consideration that clonazepam is one of the best benzos that potentiate opiates and that you have no benzo tolerance i'd say 0.75-1mg ought to do the trick; if you take 1.5mg you will have mild amnesia and will forget things that happened during the period that the clonazepam was affecting you (or most of the period actually), 2mg will make you forget nearly everything that has happened so i wouldn't do that if i were you and seeing as opiates potentiate benzos 1mg of clonazepam would be like 1.25-1.5mg after 5 hrs of not dosing so i'd personally go with 0.75mg if i were you but 1mg is fine too.

honestly dude iv mixed benzos and opiates countless times. some of them i probaly shouldnt have. if you feel like you truly need the kpin for actual anxiety i suggest a .5mg and wait an hour and if its still not good take another half mg. but i wouldnt suggest you strive to far over 1mg of clonazepam.
