I have given of myself
something
that no one else
is truly worthy of
It has been taken from me
and taken again
and now
I am left completely empty
I am now
void of that peace
that one simple part
that held together
my heart
I was wrong
and
here I sit
paying for being mistaken
you have no idea
nor will you ever
know what you have taken
for too long
i have been too high
or so it has appeared
to you
but as they say
"what goes up must come down"
I hope the reverse works too
I cant fathom
getting much lower
besides going under
but
at this moment
that thought is one i ponder
it just dosen't seem so bad anymore
