Opioids not getting buzzed off roxies?

ok so when i take 5 or 6 10 mg percs i get this insane buzz where im relaxed and might nod if i took another 10 mg. but when i take 5 or 6 10mg roxies i dont feel anything. does it have something to do with the APAP being metabolized so more of the oxy from the percs is in my blood or what?
 
The effects should be exactly the same. I would have thought that you would feel more from the oxycodone without the APAP due to less binders that have to be metabolized.

thats what i thought too. but maybe its the opposite for me? its really weird man
 
Same thing happens w/ me....do you have limited experience with these pills? (Not with oxy, I mean with these pills specifically). The first time ii got the 30mg roxis, I barely felt a buzz off 10 of them. 300mgs was my usual dose of oxy at the time but I was used to seeing the big 80mg OC's. I first thought I'd gotten counterfit/fake pills, but since I didn't get dopesick, that wasn't possible. I attribute it to a sort of reverse placebo effect. Where I didn't expect these little unfamiliar pills to get me high, and so they didn't. IOW, my mind waS so convinced they wouldn't work that they didn't

Just to be clear its niot that they didn't work at alll, they just didn't give nearly the effect Ithought they should have. At the time I was doing 15 x 80mg oxy OP's per day. B/c they were OP's I would break them down in emergen-C or coke for a few hours and then drink my dose, which was between 240mg - 320mg @ a time. At such high dosaages you stop getting euphoria from opiates really, you just feel ok, sick, or sleepy...but still, I thought snorting 300.g of IR oxy would make me feel stronger effects than my usual dose of op's, but not even close. So while it could be any number of reasons---my tolerance, my usage pattern, my saturated opiate brain, I think my unfamiliarty w/ these pills, and my doubting whether or not they'd really work effected my high.

Could have to do with diet: if you eat x amount of whatever on an empty stomach, you will generally feel them much faster than if on a full stomach. Sometimes a light, fatty meal will help things along, but idk what that might help dope wise since I usually dont eat my d.o.c. All things are never equal: frame of mind, mood, setting, drugs already in your system, diet, etc. All of these come into play, sometimes in a huge way (e.g. SSRIs will absolutely kill/negate an MDMA roll).
 
i always do them on an empty stomach. i drink white GFJ an hour before hand then 50mg diphenhydramine 45 minutes prior then 2 extra strength tums 20 minutes prior. then ill crush them up into a powder and swallow it. and i read about the little bit of a fatty food to help it along so if im out ill grab one of those nesquik bottles and chug it (some seriously good shit lol).

In the US they do make 10 mg roxy and they are actually very commonly prescribed. Most brands are pink in color and small and round (very similar in shape and size as the 5s...slightly bigger). There are a couple of brand that are white in color. I was on them for a couple of years quite a few years back and have been back on them for a few months now. So I know they still make them and that they have also been around for quite awhile.

I'm not sure why you would say that they don't make thme with such absolute confidence just because you aren't familiar with them. Sounds kind of arrogant! :\

OP...the APAP has a synergistic effect with the oxy but I wouldn't think that it is so significant that you would feel the oxy so much in the percs and then not at all in the roxys.

Is it with one particular batch or with any and all roxys?
 
The synergistic effect is only applicable to analgesia, not euphoria. This is the second type of post like this in the past couple days, oxycodone is oxycodone. There must be other variables at play. It's not like apap activates opiates, it's more of an anti-abuse agent. It's the most ineffective and shortest acting painkiller in medicine.
 
The anti abuse aspect of it is not the only or even the main reason it is in these meds. It does provide a significant synergistic effect for pain relief though you are correct that it does not increase euphoria. But if the feeling of being relaxes and sleepy is what he is referring to in terms of wuphoria then yes, APAP could increase that feeling. There are many people who become sleepy and relaxed from taking only APAP with absolutely no narcotic medications. I have been a nurse for almost 20 years and APAP effects different people in different ways.

This is not asking the same thing the other post you are referring to did. The other post was comparing different brands of a medication in terms of effect. In this post he is asking if the APAP could be affecting the way the meds make him feel.
