Stimulants Not feeling amphetamine salts at all

I was prescribed 10mg amphetamine salts (generic, SANDOZ) and after taking it for a week, I felt little to no difference except the occasional headaches. I thought the dosage was wrong, so I tried 20mg and then 30mg but that didn't do anything. I got desperate and wanted to see if my prescription was doing anything helpful at all so I started taking 70mg doses but I don't feel anything still. I don't think the prescriptions are expired because I got them from my pharmacy literally a month ago. It's also my first time taking stimulants so I'm pretty sure I don't have any tolerance. I took the pills by mouth and swallowed it down with water. Anyone have similar issues?

I've often found that I don't really feel/appreciate a drug the first few times I take it. Like I don't recognize the feeling for whatever reason. I've always wondered if there is something physiologically happening. You know you hear those stories of people not getting high the first time they smoke or take a psychedelic. Even drugs I didn't like at all the first couple times I've learned to appreciate what people like about them in a way, after a few times of taking them. Phenibut was like that for me, I barely felt anything after taking it quite a few times, then 2 years later it has very strong effects for me. So maybe there's something with neurochemistry going on.

Guess I'm kind of rambling. If I were you I wouldn't keep upping the dose though, maybe take a few days/week off or take low/standard doses for awhile. Seems like when I take very low doses of stuff it actually increases my sensitivity, at least sometimes. I'm sure there are people here that understand this type of thing much better than me though

I'm ADHD, diagnosed in 2012. and talking Amptahinsultate, which hep´lps a lot but i also dont feel and upcime, a donwcome or anyshing.

OP you need a good specialist to get a second meaning about that!

EDIT: In bigger hospitals there are meanwhile ambulances for "ADHD in Adults", so perhaps this would be a chance, because a "normal physician" and even neurologists or psychologists don't sometimes know nothing about that issue. In an ambulance they know exactly what to do. I do not know where you live but this could be successfull :)

Diminishing returns happens FAST with stimulants. Perhaps faster than any other substance class.

That's why so many people who partake in meth multiple times daily suddenly think their product is jank--when in reality stimulants are the farthest thing from recreational when you run into a daily habit. I had an adderall script for quite some time. I don't know if you truly have an ADD/ADHD condition but honestly it's not really any of my business ;) But if you are using the medication for recreational purposes you would benefit far more from taking a couple of days off between using days and non-using days.

If you actually have ADD/ADHD though, you do need the medication on a much more regular basis so I do not want to tell someone to avoid taking their meds on the regular. But.. recreationally speaking, once you partake in stimulants on a consistent basis they are no longer euphoric. You can't have it both ways though  I think the medication is simply working. You just will barely feel any of the euphoric content or the stimulant rush after an entire week really. If you are able to function without the meds for what it sounds like you are hinting at from your posts, you might benefit from only taking the meds when you really need them 2 days or so out of a week.

There are meanwhile other medications, but people want free stimulants. They will see how they feel after a while.....

I hope this is true, it's just weird because I heard even people who don't have ADHD get feelings of euphoria when taking amphetamine salts but I've never had it. I tried oxycodone before at absurdly high doses after surgery before but even at those times I never felt anything, so my body might just have naturally high tolerance?

I am able to function without adderall, I just have to try hard to stay focused and put up with constant stimming. I've never felt euphoric from any stimulant before (adderall was the first stimulant I tried).

I can confirm i dnt have adhd (was diagnosed with aspergers 4-5 years ago)

I find ampetamine sulphate to be a strange one for me. I get a focus from it but no real euphoria (though i tried mdma before amphetamine so my expectations were high for amphetamine. I found mdpv to be alot more effective for euphoria I imagine methampetamine will have more euphoria with it aswell. Never tried methylphenidate or dexedrine just standard d-amp .

I remember a friend in school who was extreme adhd. He used to take his dose in the mornings. Before school started he would be talking non stop. Really energetic.

After his dose of ritalin he would be in class zoning out. Not talking anymore. I assumed this was how it effected people with adhd. But this was probably just bias. Drugs effect everyone differently.

If your looking for a high. Try mdma/ lsd
