Not feeling 15 mg Focalin XR after 90 min: What should I do?

I swallowed 15 mg Focalin XR almost an hour and a half ago... I don't think I feel anything, although I just drank some Red Bull and instantly felt a little more awake (I think just because of the temperature).

I have a crapton of work to do in the next 40 hours; not planning on sleeping much if at all. I have a second 15 mg pill, too. What's the best way to get the most out of these? I'm thinking of snorting the second one tomorrow morning, maybe after a short nap, depending on how I feel. Or would it be best to try it now - like, if I didn't feel the first one, might I need a larger dose? I've never heard of a dose as large as 30 mg...

I did a search, of course, but I'm kind of looking for immediate-ish advice as opposed to trying to extrapolate from others' experiences.

Sorry mate, this is a harm reduction site, not a how do I get fucked on these and stay alive site.

Best thing would be to not take the one you have left over. If you have loads of work to do and not many hours to do it all in with even less time to sleep, then I may know of something that could be an option for you:

I read, recently, that there is a business in Japan that rota their staff in a rotation of 1 week on followed by 3 weeks off. They do this by working 24/7 for the week that they are their. They use the power nap theory, basically they are allowed a 20 minute sleep for every 2 hours that they work. No more than 20 minutes nap, strictly and it tricks the body into feeling adequately rested, focused and energised.

I don't know the exact science behind it but those are the timings. If you only have to do 40 hours I'm sure you could manage without any drugs. If you did start to tire, which is understandable, you could use the power nap idea. If you decide to use the power nap theory just don't have any more caffeine.

Yeah, effective minimization of sleep is part of the plan.

I woke up at 5 PM this afternoon (it's 11 PM now here), so I'm not tiring yet, and I don't think I will in the next few hours. The Focalin is purely about being alert/focused at this point and will be about staying awake later.

Dunno if it's working. I haven't gotten anything concrete done, but that's not a perfect gauge of its effectiveness, because the tricky part about the work I have to do is that I have to learn a bunch and then do a bunch; it's not just about having a ton of work and plugging along. I've definitely been pretty focused on getting a baller study playlist together... -__-
