Hey all, just wanted to give a second hello to the BL community...after several months inactive (beginning just after my first handful of posts), I've decided to reclaim my account here. Recent interest in enthobotanicals/herbal supplements have inspired me to once again rise above my lurking status here, and I hope now to be as contributive a member to this great resource as I can!
Welcome to bL. Happy to see you decided to come back. Let us know what type of supplements you're talking about, someone will be happy to point out some threads of interests, or if information doesn't yet exist, the proper area of the site to post in.
Thank you much, bronson. Wasn't sure where to start so I figure here couldn't hurt - so If somebody would like to point me in the direction of some damiana, valerian, passionflower, etc., discussion (the "store-bought," for lack of better terminology), that would be lovely. I'm aware I can find a few good bits of knowledge around here by using the F'ing search engine...but I just feel the alleged psychoactive/nootropic qualities of these aren't well enough discussed/researched.
Just as well, I find the differing opinions upon the more well known nootropics such as kratom, phenibut, kava, etc. to be a bit..er, under-developed...there's much more to know.
So let me know what people are saying these days! I've got plenty to say as well.
Sorry for the long reply time on this, I've been a bit busy with some behind the scenes stuff. At any rate, for kratom & kava we have some really good resources built. (The Kratom Mega Thread & The "Kava-Kava" MEGA THREAD)
As for the other items you listed, they are a bit more obscure in their discussion, running a search will turn some results, but not necessarily what you're looking for. Depending on the level of technicality you wish to discuss them with, Neuroscience and Pharmacology Discussion is a strong choice for what you've described.
I'd go ahead and start a thread(s) there, though if it's more basic than much of what you're seeing posted in that forum, it's better placed in its given sub-forum based on the class of supplement.
