It's almost
a year and forever
still counting, still dreading

When a switch got flicked
(just like that)
a light extinguished
a room plunged into darkness
but for your eyes shining
in the dark

You looked around
suddenly alone again
as the one person who understood
had already left, with that flick of a switch

There's no one left, is there
and these words are not enough

And I am here
outside your room
not enough.

I have always been fond of your writting this some strikes a cord but i can't place why,,,,, good stuff man ;)

I miss this guy. This piece would be painfully desperate if it wasn't so controlled. Instead it is a beautifully poignant reminder of the long standing sensation of loss and inadequacy. Awesome.
