Sorry for this not being a pill report but thought it might be interesting to my fellow Aussies (and them muttonhumpers over the water).
There's a brilliant book about the rise of E culture available called 'Altered State' by a bloke called Matthew Collin. To quote directly from the blurb on the back:
"Altered State tracks the development of Ecstacy culture from its roots in the psychedelic underground and gay disco movements of America in the '70s, through the utopian frenzy of Acid House and the illegal rave spectaculars of the late '80s, to the ultimate creation of a mass drug culture in the '90s."
It's given a massive plug by Irvine Welsh, amongst others, and I've got to say, it's a faaaarkin brilliant read.
Don't know if it's available in Australia as I picked it up in the UK. But if you are at all interested in the topic (as no doubt you are) get a hold of it!
