Nos cracker issue

First post sorry if I get stuff wrong. An acquaintance bought a nos use bundle and the cracker In it (gold) has the regular hole for dispensing at the top (by the spike) but also a large hole at the bottom of the cracker. Can someone enlighten the point for this hole ?

Welcome to bluelight. We don't use SWIM here please edit your post accordingly. The hole in the bottom is simply to make sure that the cartridge is in correctly.
