what number should your mormal levels be at i got a blood test and came up as just 5 ,Thats mostly down to me abusing roids for a long while,AM 36 WILL IT TAKE A LONH WHILE NOW FOR MY LEVELS TO COME BACK ANY SUPPS THAT COULD SPEED THINGS UP?Cheers

I got a testosterone test done 2 weeks ago as they thought my levels may have been naturally (Never used 'roids) low.

Anyway it was 18 nmol per litre, normal is 10 - 30 nmol per litre, normally wrote as nmol/L, I'm in the UK though, so the test' maybe slightly different in the USA! :\

14/06/09 Edit: nmol/L is the correct 'term'/way of writing it. The nmol/L in my post above were originally wrote as nmol, which was as I now know is incorrect.

I'm 23 years and 11 months old. The doc' said that the normal range is 10 - 30 nmol/L, on the letter is doesn't say anything like "This is the normal range for a 18-25yr old or a 20-30yr old. So if you're roughly my age, it should be in that range

I'm 32 and was placed on TRT about a year ago. My low T came from high and extended dosages of AAS as well.

Testosterone, Serum 300-1000 ng/dL (approximate values and vary by age)

Here's a link with some useful information;

And I know bodybuilding.com is a bitter/sweet forum but they actually have a wealth of information and very knowledgeable members in the Hormone Replacement Therapy sub-forum;

If you have any further questions let me know and I'll be more than happy to help if I can.

Yes the range is 300-1000ng/dl, with the mean being around 5-600ng/dl. Usually a few percent is unbound or "free". The unbound testosterone (free) is the testosterone that is actually playing a role, the rest is bound up with SHBG and albumin and is essentially inactive.

I think above 1200ng/dl is considered "supraphysiological", indicating that some exogenous testosterone or test boosting compound is being used...
