Norco vs Percocet: is there really much difference?

I have taken both of these 'meds', and in all honesty, I can't really tell much of a difference in the strength or duration. Can anyone tell me what the deal is with this? I thought oxycodone is supposed to be stronger then hydro, but it doesn't seem that way to me.... :? Any explaination would be great. Thanks y'all
 
Hydrocodone-Oxycodone

Basically, both Opiates I guess. Though in my.experience Oxy is definitely stronger euphoria wise. Even before my Opiate tolerance skyrocketed Hydro still was very euphoric to me, a little more mellow and less sedating in comparison.

I guess for someone who doesn't abuse opiates it'd be hard to tell the difference between them depending on your doses, but yeah Oxycodone is more potent than Hydrocodone. If you need any more information on them feel free to PM me. I'm quite experienced on all Opiates first hand.
 
Well, actually, I have been, and still can be quite the opiate abuser, but unless I'm dealing with oxy in pure form, without the APAP, I can hardly tell a difference between a hydro 10/325 and an oxy 10/325, although I can definately tell the difference in 10 mg of pure oxy without the damn tylenol, LOL Thanks tho on the info.
 
Yeah no problem, I get what your saying kind of lol

I don't know, for me personally I can do 50mgs of Oxycodone vs 75mgs of Hydrocodone and the Oxys euphoria is so much more consistent and heavy. Hydros more sedating and mellowed out in my experience
 
Every opiate addict has there own favourite. Personally, I would take hydrocodone over oxycodone any day.
 
I get the same feeling as well from the 10/325 percs & the 10/325 norcos.....oxycodone iratates me so I got switched back over to hydrcodone.
 
Oxy is way stronger than hydrocodone thats weird I've never heard that I think hydrocodone is shit so weak I would take abuprenorphine over hydro codone anyday
 
in this context and at low doses, yeah there isnt really that much difference between Hydro and Oxy. Hydro makes me feel a bit more sedated but thats more in a sleepy kind of way than anything more euphoric.

when you start comparing higher doses of oxy to hydro it is a lot different, especially if you obtain oxycodone in an abuseable form

actually scratch that, once you hit 15mgs or higher its different imo. A single A 214 would have you far more fucked up than 1 1/2 Norcos

It's an opioid med that's used either for maintenance or to get people off opiates.

I'm one the prefers the high of hydrocodone over oxycodone as long as the dose is right. I'd take 20mg of hydro over 15mg of oxy as I found oxy to be overrated by itself, oxy and hydro together is quite nice though and is how I do them most of the time.
 
yea I get that but all around oxy is stronger when it comes to comparing it to hydrocodone I mean hydrocodone is so close to codeine to me and
5 mgs hydrocodone equals about 30mgs codeine which is what a T3 that's nothing an oxy 5(Percocet) is a lot stronger than that

The odd thing about that is I'm like immune to codeine, even in really high amounts. And I'm much much more sensitive to hydrocodone than oxy, and i get more euphoria from hydrocodone too. Hydro and BTH are my go-to opies
 
Codeine, so far as I can tell, has no effect on me what so ever, which is strange since morphine does me well, and it is codeine's metabolite. Body chemistry is wierd stuff I guess. (I'm also one of those 'freaks' that tramadol absolutely tears up.) So, who knows , I guess.
 
Hydrocodone is a more sedating opiate with great euphoria until your tolerance builds, while oxycodone is a speedier euphoria that also builds tolerance. With oxy you can find it available in greater strength than 10mg and no apap. With hydro the 10mg is as high as you find. But with the introduction of zohydro, I believe that is the correct spelling, hydrocodone without the apap is now available in strength greater than 10mg. Of course I ALWAYS preferred hydrocodone in liquid form in the guise of cough syrup that has an antihistamine and decongestant. Good stuff! !
 
trainspotter10102: Even though it's TECHNICALLY stronger, it doesn't mean every opiate user likes it over the less stronger opiate, you get me? Oxycodone and Hydrocodone are different, sure oxy is stronger, but some like Hydro better, even if it's weaker.
 
Personally,on a mg per mg basis,I find oxycodone to be not only more euphoric but also more effective for pain management than hydrocodone.Of course the oxy is stronger but most conversion charts I've seen rate 5mg of oxy to be equivilant to 7.5mg of hydro but IMO the difference is greater than that.They also usually say that hydrocodone is equivilant to morphine for pain relief mg for mg.I find this to be absolutely untrue as morphine has much greater pain relieving properties than hydocodone or even oxycodone.Morphine is also more euphoric than either IME.

Ime, morphine gives me better pain relief & for a way longer time than hydrocodone & oxycodone, even tho my doctor says mg for mg, hydro & morphine are equal......like you stated, not even close, morphine is the best of those 3 & definitely the most sedated which I like.

Exactly.As just about anyone who's ever had a painful,invasive surgery can attest,when you wake up in the recovery room they give you a shot of morphine,not oxy or hydrocodone.There's a reason for that.

Hell yeah, that notuss/tussionex shit is DA DOMB! One of the best damn times I have had on opes in fact. Oxy is almost like this "speedy" high, very social and chatty, and euporic. But it does not provide the "body high" that hydro's do. It is stronger, but oxy lasts a bit shorter and you can definitely abuse them a little bit easier, especially the ones in higher doses without the APAP. Both have their high points, and will produce an overall similar euphoria, they just differ slightly. Not the best comparison, but think of how weed is different, with sativa being speedy/creative/trippy highs, while indica is more of a "stoned" or couchlock. Obviously opiods aren't nearly that different, just trying to paint a perspective. They are synthesized to work differently.
