RCs Nootropics irritability?

tl:dr

As of late, I've been testing out Noopept and Phenylpiracetam with not much result. Then, I added CDP-Choline and now I notice some effects. I am noticing colors brighter, sounds sharper and spacial, and perhaps some stimulation. However, I also am feeling quite jittery, some anxiety and borderline depression, as well as a general irritability. This could genuinely be from my life's current stressful status, but does anyone else notice nootropics making them anxious and irritable?

Like yesterday, I came home and just felt super irritated at the world. My lady desperately tried to cheer me up and I started getting annoyed with her for it. I just seem to be in a sit-in-my-chair-and-stare mode, don't talk to me, don't touch me, don't try to cheer me up, just leave me alone, ya know? This morning, I took my dose of nootropics again, noticed the effects again, as well as the anxiety and irritability. I got in the elevator at work, these two guys were having a conversation about a project they're working on and I felt SO BAD like I just wanted to scream "SHUT THE FUCK UP!!!" at them. Luckily I didn't, but I even caught myself glaring at them. I don't like this!!

Think it's the nootropics? Again, like I said, I'm going through a particularly stressful time in life which is being caused by things out of my control and I feel like society is turning it's back on not only me, but itself as well, and this has been upsetting me greatly. It would make sense that I feel this way due to that, but the bad mood seems extra hard to fight as if it is being induced.

Thanks for reading!

Both of those nootropics you mentioned have a speedy effect that can induce aggression. After much experimentation I settled on Aniracetam as it is actually anxiolytic while providing that laser-like focus. I would recommend you check it out - but it is possible you are a non-responder as many tend to chalk up the effects of nootropics as pure placebo. For example, if nobody told you what a particular nootropic was or how it is supposed to effect you would you still notice the effects like sharper vision and increased focus?

Excellent question. After I added CDP-Choline, yes, absolutely. When I was in the elevator and I heard the "3rd Floor" voice that I hear every single day, it sounded way different and made me have to think about it for a minute. I also always notice when colors sharpen. Today, while feeling very anxious, I was in a meeting at work and felt like I absorbed more than usual, like I was very "on", but uncomfortable. I have tried aniracetam in the past and was hopeful about the anxiolytic effects, but didn't experience any effects from it at all. I might give it another try because I really am appreciating the flowing of thought and attentiveness this stuff is giving me, but not enough to feel anxious like this.

EDIT: Just ordered some aniracetam. I can't remember if I used a choline source with it last time, if I did it was Alpha-GPC. Either way, piracetam, oxiracetam and aniracetam did not produce effects for me when I tried them in the past. Hopefully CDP-Choline and aniracetam is what I'm looking for.

Today I was in a better mood, and I tried taking only CDP-Choline and 100mg Phenylpiracetam. There is a slight jitteryness there, but not as bad as yesterday, it's far more manageable. I'm noticing some added focus and thought fluidity, but nothing to write home about.

One thing I have been noticing lately since I started the nootopics, I've been guzzling water like it's going out of style. I don't even realize how thirsty I am until I raise a glass to my lips for a sip and just start chug chug chug chug chug chugging it until it's gone, and then realize I want more! It's not uncommon for me to do this, but lately it seems like every time I drink something I want to just destroy it! I don't feel dehydrated...
