Opioids Noob opium user here need a bit of advice

Hi all, I have managed to get my hands on some opium.

Its a very dark brown colour (almst black but not quite). Its fairly sticky. Its very much like tar. It has an organic kind of smell to it, almost like the smell of a compost heap when you turn it over.

Ive never smoked or seen opium before. Can anyone advise me how I can test this stuff to see how good it is? Or even if it actually is opium? Its from a non trusted source.

Also, what is the best way to take it? From what I have read, smoking is the best, although it can also be eaten right? I have a glass pipe like this:

If you're in the US, unless things have changed, you probably have incense. I smoked opium dozens upon dozens of times, without ever actually getting real opium. It's just wasn't that available.

Just to add to the smell... It smells like plant sap almost... which I guess is basically what it is.

to me eating is the best. You can smoke it like heroin, but it needs a bit of practice to not waste the opium

Opium has a beautiful smell- kinda aniseed-y right?

Your best bet is to eat it- unless you have a proper opium pipe and an old Laotian man to show you how to use you you'll just end up wasting most of it.

Spanish opium is meant to be some of the strongest shit in the world- around 20% morphine by weight (Afghan/SEA opium is 5-10% )- work out approx. how much morphine you're consuming and go from there. If you're completely opiate naïve start with 1/4g, but if you have a bit of experience try starting by eating 1/2g-1g (~100-200mg morphine).

Remember the oral bioavailability of morphine is pretty low so you'll prob need more than you think. It can also take a 2-3 hours to kick in fully. It's also best to rip the opium into lots of little pellets to swallow- don't just eat a big hunk, it'll take like 5 hours to kick in.

To add mor info, there are more alkaloids, and i think some of them may pottentiatte some others, because i yhave always found more strong, taking 500 mg of O ( if 10% it would be like 50 mg of morphine), rather than 50 mg of morphine, wich i found great but weaker than the 500 mg of O

I mean, a gram of a strong opium may be even dangerous if new on that, more dangerous than 100 mg of morphine, because the maybe aroubd 20% and because codeine, tebaine and the other still unknown alkaloids in O

Can you belive, in the past just around 5% of old spanish jonkies knew that there is opium near his house. Now its getting to change, because internet, the info is shared easily
