Noob, LSD info?

LSD can be used for a variety of reasons. Using it for the right reason though will generally make the trip more meaningful and satisfying. I don't think this is possible for everyone. As for the trip itself though it can really be variable based on your attitude and other factors. I think one of the most important things to remember though is set and setting. Make sure you are in a comfortable place preferably a quiet room or maybe in nature with someone you trust who is either sober or experienced with psychedelics.

Im never perticularly excited by LSD visuals, though the most intense I've ever had was combining it with Ketamin at the peak which was literally unbelieveable visual wise.

i used to enjoy acid mostly for the visuals, but also the enthralled feeling that lets you stare at the visuals indefinitely.. heh.. acid is for sure 'amazing' - 'friendly' is a good way to describe it, but for sure a larger than life and energetic friend who keeps asking you to go bowling even though it's 4AM... 'bad trips' are few and far between - you generally need to have a preexisting mental condition which i have and i still have never had a 'bad trip' - i have maybe witnessed one or two though..

taking acid for the first time as friends is killer beans!! :) my good friend and i in high school did that and those first trips together were perhaps unmatched in good times.. thinking happy thoughts and staying positive is what it is all about too.. glad you caught on to that before hand - the only time a trip starts feeling bad without provocation is when you dwell on some negative thoughts and they build into like a mini depression, but you always have the option of just clearing your head, moving around and forgetting about it..

i have lost touch with reality at least a little bit on each trip - some of the heavier doses like black pyramid and purple microdot got me to the point that i just had to sit down and let the experience go - at that point you just behave carefully and don't put yourself near harm's way - you know - don't go crossing busy streets, running near cliffs, forging rivers, etc.. i have only had minor injuries, but once i did some creative use of private property.. eh.. that was mixing beer, weed, LSD, and 5-meo-DMT though.. i wont go into that..

the color changing is very cool - at moments it gets more amazing - i have found a toke of weed brings on big color shifts - like once i was in the woods and there was a candle lit on the ground - i puffed on a bowl and suddenly the ground around the candle was like stained glass moving around and glowing wonderfully.. i will always remember that time.. the morphing mostly happens in the dark, but also in the plain daylight there will be distortion of objects and patterns covering things.. :)

i think tripping alone can be spooky if you are not used to the feeling - my best trips i think were when it was me and like 12 good friends all dosed and spending the trip together.. i once candyflipped at a rave - it was way more intense than a regular acid trip - for sure not for a first timer..

you will have a super time with LSD! be sure to report back after your first trip.. :)

lsd, in my humble opinion, is not as strongly visual for me as it is an intense psychological/journey in my head.

thats what makes the experience so awesome, loosing touch with what people call reality is what you might need so i wouldn't fight it when it starts :) loss of ones ego is a state that people induce to learn things about the workings of the universe thats inside your very head.

good luck.

I agree - Personally I've found mushrooms much more visual that LSD, but what's true for me isn't necessarily true for others.

Depending on how much you take - I wouldn't necessarily calling it losing touch with reality, more like finding a new way to touch/sense reality. On a recent low dose I had, something as mundane as cleaning the windows can become an epic journey where you're on a mission and totally absorbed. The visuals were very light.

Of course at higher doses how you relate to the world with your thoughts can become so abstract that the mere concept of world/self are so totally different than normal that the visuals are very secondary to the experience.

To some degree you can induce/increase visuals merely by directing your attention to them, noticing different aspects of them. This can be quite fun - see how that goes? Also - don't forget to close your eyes for a while at some point!
