I read a few chapters of PIHKAL and the majority of the phenethylamines he described had psychedelic effects. Besides MDA, I haven't heard of any MDMA analogues that aren't psychedelics. I don't consider MDMA to be a psychedelic (although it does have some trippy effects), do you know of any other analogues that are no more psychedelic than MDMA? I don't mean N-substituted analogues (i.e. MDA, MDEA etc.), I mean analogues with different groups attached to the benzene ring and stuff like that. Actually, I've heard of para-methoxyamphetamine and hear it is often sold as MDMA and is responsible for most of the MDMA related deaths reported. I'd stay the hell away from that.

How exactly do you define an MDMA analogue? There are a countless number of amphetamine derivatives that act only as stimulants.

MDA is significantly more psychedelic than MDMA, IMO anyway. The others have pointed out some good ones - 2C-I, methylone & butylone.

nAON has a fair point though - how exactly are you defining an MDMA analogue?

There's MDAI, MDMAI, bk-MBDB, MDOH... theres so many but I'm unsure as to whether they fit your idea of an MDMA analogue

I can see this turning into endless speculation for sure...as others have said, its hard to define "MDMA analog" - many amphetamines (MDMA is technically an amphetamine) are just straight up stimulants.

I'm going to leave this open for the time being but we don't really cater to "what drugs should I take?" type threads.

I was thinking of amphetamine like compounds which have a relatively high affinity for serotonin receptors.

OP if you have a more specific question or query please make a new thread, gonna close this as it's not going anywhere.
