I thought it was interesting but I was waiting for info on when to make nominations or however we were going to do it.
I could've swore I outlined all that already?

i'd do it out of boredom, but there's no reason you should go through the effort of setting it up if you aren't in the mood... i've already kind of went through the whole 90's in my head and decided what i favor more. it might actually be impossible for me to vote on some of this stuff, like so much tying imo. it's cool for me to reminisce about though. listening to rock radio as a kid was a pretty wild ride... This was for all genres of 90's music though? Gin Blossoms, Counting Crows, Spin Doctors were some favorites of mine on pop radio. i loved hardrock too. like picking between Slipknot, White Zombie, Limp Bizkit or Korn is a pretty rough task to me, and then it's like if i'm in the mood to listen to hard stuff or like Bush, Gin Blossoms or whatever.
i might actually be inspired to post sets of songs from the emo genre and see if anybody can get into it and what people gravitate toward.. i already wrote a pretty detailed review of emo music in the emo thread.. kind of a lot for some people to check out, but maybe people are curious what emo is... a genre that varies a lot. i've been checking out a lot of the newer stuff that kids on reddit are into now days too other than the 90's and 2000's hits i grew up with. i might just post as a way to study it for myself and keep the stuff fresh in my memory talking about it, not really caring if anyone else checks it out.. we'll see though. i'm pretty lazy.
And I could've swore I nominated 2 bands already. So I guess you weren't referring to me.I could've swore I outlined all that already?
I have benn waiting for the first round.Guys is anyone still interested in this? Because I'm definitely not going to put forth the effort if not.
I'm of course down. A lot of people voted in the classic rock one, despite the finale being completely lackluster with very little fanfare, I thought it was fun to do the whole process. I can also help you with whatever or run it if you don't want to. Just let me know!Guys is anyone still interested in this? Because I'm definitely not going to put forth the effort if not.
The only thing I learned in vet school was how to put ketamine up my assThen we all started yakking about this and that, as we are prone to do. You need to go to veterinary school and practice herding cats to get us all in line!
We'll be lining up for this contest, thenThe only thing I learned in vet school was how to put ketamine up my ass
Ah I was gonna say Jane's addictionJane's Addiction and Primus
I didn't actually lol just joking
Are we still doing this? I've already put my 2 down but I'd like to add to them
The Cure
The Fugees
Yeah we can take the cure off. I didn't realize my f favorite songs from them were released in the 80s.Yeah we are still doing it. Unfortunately I've gone through some shit and it's taking longer to get started.
I'm honestly not sure about the cure, but I will defer to others opinions. I would consider them an 80s band even though they remained popular through the 90s. Their biggest commercial success looks to be in 89 and they were formed in the 70s.
Ok well I listen to all kinds of music and I feel like we're leaving out complete genre's here. Just to add a few more,
Mazzy Star
Everything but the girl
Hooverphonic
2pac
Gang Starr
I think someone already said massive attack
Tricky (they used to call me tricky kid)
Thievery Corp
Ministry
