i might actually be inspired to post sets of songs from the emo genre and see if anybody can get into it and what people gravitate toward.. i already wrote a pretty detailed review of emo music in the emo thread.. kind of a lot for some people to check out, but maybe people are curious what emo is... a genre that varies a lot. i've been checking out a lot of the newer stuff that kids on reddit are into now days too other than the 90's and 2000's hits i grew up with. i might just post as a way to study it for myself and keep the stuff fresh in my memory talking about it, not really caring if anyone else checks it out.. we'll see though. i'm pretty lazy.

I want to do it, that's why I started the process. But if there's not enough interest it just wouldn't be worth the time just to have a couple people participate

I'm of course down. A lot of people voted in the classic rock one, despite the finale being completely lackluster with very little fanfare, I thought it was fun to do the whole process. I can also help you with whatever or run it if you don't want to. Just let me know!

Guys keep the noms coming. I've been going through it recently ... hoping to get back on track this week.

It will take me a bit to get it going but I'll make it happen in the next few days.

Yeah we are still doing it. Unfortunately I've gone through some shit and it's taking longer to get started.

I'm honestly not sure about the cure, but I will defer to others opinions. I would consider them an 80s band even though they remained popular through the 90s. Their biggest commercial success looks to be in 89 and they were formed in the 70s.

Yeah we can take the cure off. I didn't realize my f favorite songs from them were released in the 80s.

To be clear, the nomination thread is for people to make sure two of their favorites are included. The rest of the bands will be ones I choose from a variety of sources. I will try to represent as many genres as possible, but I probably won't include super obscure bands who would not be competitive in a poll against a bigger more popular artist.
