Black waves
Shot with shards of light
March as soldiers
Across the dark
Every ripple its own master
Sparkling neon chaos
Orange, silver, white
And above me
In the great bowl of the sky
Porridge thick clouds
Blushing pink at the horizon
Its between these two
I sit this night
Eyes drawn to both
Around the shore
Lights sparkle
While the black water washes
Lapping at the shore
Calling my name
Oh the temptation to leap
Into that murky embrace
While the wind kisses me
With a lovers caress
And on this night
I live a lifetime
Of love and passion
Hope and heartbreak
And in the dark ripples
I see my mother
Calling me home
There to rest forever
Above the dark sky
Peers through the clouds
The moon's baleful eye
Glows alive for me
Yet now the water
Seems like glass
Rippled, disturbed, swirling
But that you could see this
Looking into this heaven
Through my own eyes
The spirits reaching for me
Blacker than pitch
And its your love holding me
Protecting me from harm
As the eerie whispers
Echo on the night water
Over the rock on which I stand
Looking into darkness
Blinded by your light

Nice work Plaz I like the shortness of each line, really makes the words in each one have to work harder to get their point across, and the ones you have chosen do it really well. Good stuff
