raindrops fall and splutters around me
afterwhich greenery spread as far as the eye can see
children skip and play in puddles after the rain
the joy of seeing innocence again

innocence i've lost whilst growing up
how i miss it oh so much
the times i wished i had not frayed
but if i hadn't i would not have
found the me that i am now

so the question is would i trade it in
for another chance at being innocent?
the answer would most likely be
for most i guess as well,
would likely be a "no thank you"
though it'd be lovely to see it once again.

lovely put darlin, i love this piece

for me , i would not trade it in,,, the knowledge you gain as you get older, really in not worth trading in to be young again.

*claps* love this :)

I feel the exact same way all the time. This poem expresses a lot of my own feelings. Thanks for sharing it, it is really wonderful.
