Choking down the present
amazing I can breathe
my moon, she's no longer cresent
our shadow has covered my lady

left here suffocating on an unknown
with a black blanket with bullet holes of light
shining down upon me like fated beacons
from such distance in space and time

show no mercy
no excuses
no apologies
no regrets this
time around

and if I could only find the water
to feed my thirst and cleanse my skin
if I could only find the cave of trees
if only you would let me in

sure, I broke the ice, but
its much warmer now than it was then
cold chards graciously cutting my skin
as I delve deep down and in

to show no mercy
no excuses
no apologies
no regrets this
time around

so it starts, this
slow and graceful sinking, with
eye on the journey, not
the inevitable ground.

What's that I swallowed?
Is this me breathing?
In my chest, what's that
rythmic sound?

Wow, this was incredible! The ease of flow and the subtle rhymes really lend feeling and readability to this; you can really connect with the speaker.
This is so well written, and elegant in its simplicty and brevity.
Excellent job man!
