I have been an IV drug user for about seven years now. It's getting harder & harder to find a good vein, like they're disappearing. Is there anything at all that I can do to make my veins come back?

Have you considered another ROA for a while to give your veins a break? The fillers in pills and the heroin destroys your veins.

Staying hydrated, taking a break from IV'ing, etc. can help some.

Drink gatorade/pedialyte, use hot packs, before IV'ing...

my veins are gone mostly but ill still shoot to where the vein once was and sometimes get a hit. sure, I may not see a vein any longer but I've been shooting for 7 or 8 years myself and just know where those veins were for so many years. esp. when it comes to my biceps and certain parts of my arms/hands.

also, have you used up all veins? feet, hands, neck, etc? many people do not want to go down this road but sometimes it a must if you want to continue shooting.

I've only been away from dope for about a month and just taking Suboxone as I should, so no needle, and I am starting to see my skin return to how it once was; the veins are still taking its time, not even sure if they will return, but some areas feel/look great and its only been a bit more than 30 days.

They reroute themselves I have different ones than before and I've done same for over 8 years

Mine seem to have split up into lots of smaller ones where I used to inject. They are now impossible to hit with even the smallest needles. I could still shoot up in the hands/feet if I wanted to but I haven't used a needle in a couple of years and I see no reason turning back really.

Take a hot shower/bath, that usually makes the veins pop out. Or do some exercise, lift some weigths before shooting. Usually works as long as you are not in withdrawal and frustrated/shaking. My god, just thinking about it makes me cringe.

Try holding a hot compress against your veins, while repeatedly clenching your hand into a fist, it may help.

But as suggested, try taking a break from shooting up if you can and try a different ROA.

I recently had to stop plunging cause of over use in my "main' vien, but u gotta do what u gotta do.
