Another meaningless face
To find temporary comfort in
Knowing that it will never eventuate
To more than impermanent mutual sanctity
I want someone to understand me
Complete self-comprehension is futile
Devoid of the fulfilment a kindred soul provides.
Past loves and hurts writhing in this burnt out shell.
A fleeting illustration of bliss
Sanctuary from the callous reality
Spawned by a yearning and hunger
For more than the moment can possibly bid.
It's all too fake
Nothing is evermore
Dormant sedated emotions
Teased by false stimulation
Salvation will come.
Far from what might seem
Akin to coma like despair.
Hope is inevitable.
It’s only time…
