No longer feeling the same effects, what should i take?

So my m8 has got a good stock as it stands as He is a cancer patient,

He said that he has

Tramadol
Oromorph
Morphene sulphate
Zopiclone 7.5
Diazepam
Dihydrocodeine
Co-codamol
Cialis
Olanzapine

He took tonight

100mg tramadol
60mg co-codamol
10mg diazepam
7.5 zopiclone

Usually this used to make him chilled out and feeling nice and took away his pains which is most important, but the niced feelings doesn't happen anymore.
He wants it to happen again but isn't a massive risk taker so he asked me to post this and ask for everyone's opinions?
Oh and he doesn't want to use his morphene too much coz that the best he sais and gets a tolerance very fast.

i think i woud cut out the zopiclone if you dont need it, you have less chance of any respitory problems as its a hypnotic.
They arent high doses though, if your still in pain your morphene sulphate should be next i guess to take.
lol cialis is for sexual performance, id tell your m8 not to include them in a list like that ha ha

I'm afraid we're not a medical site; I know your friend is trying to get some enjoyment as well as treat his pain, but for someone with a complex medical history who is on such a range of drugs, it would be very difficult for us to give him safe advice. Unfortunately, tolerance is an issue; moreso for people trying to get a high from their meds rather than use as directed to treat pain/insomnia etc. I would strongly advise your friend to use his medication just to treat his symptoms.. if he keeps trying to get high off it, his tolerance could become too high for effective pain management. There is also the risk that he could up his doses too much and overdose as he is on such a cocktail of substances.

I would advise him to see his pain management doctor again. It's unusual to be on that range of opioids; it may be that it is what suits him, or it may be better streamlined a little.

Really, the best thing for him to do is accept he's not going to get high off them anymore.. I am glad they still treat his pain. Good luck to him

Indeed with medication like this you can't have the best of both worlds. And undoubtedly long term pain relief is going far supersede any benefits of feeling high from your medicine.

Best of luck and I hope that you continue to get the relief pain wise that you need.
