No law will stop people wanting to get high

Great article.....I wish this type of thinking would catch on with the rest of the media.

There's a simple reason why that will never happen: Bad news sells.

Stories such as "YOUTH BECOMING ADDICTED TO NEWER STRONGER HEROIN AT AN ALARMING RATE" (oh noes not the children!!!11!!11) sell much better than "HEROIN ADDICTION REMAINING STEADY, METHADONE TREATMENT WORKING"

Mephedrone is being made illegal, like Ecstasy, GHB, GBL and ketamine before it. The Home Secretary says so; the Tories say so; anxious parents want it so.[/url]

thank god making something illegal stops your children from doing it. you can fuckin well sleep now.

Methadone is going to be illegal?! Yet they can release a drug for prescription like Oxy. I also hear there is something even stronger (16x) coming from Phizer

MEPHadrone...NOT METHadone - the two are like chalk and cheese, worlds apart.

100% correct. I hope changes like these can happen while I'm still a drug-taking youth. :\

well, my teen days are long gone, but I hope this happenes before my eventual kids become old enough to go clubbing. I know I'd feel a lot better.

I think getting off your head and dancing is not just a modern phenomenon but actually one of the fundamental acts of human nature.

I think humans have been getting fucked and dancing for all of time. It's most natural....

Rave's will feel like local smalltime sportsbars, when a team that no one likes is playing, when ecstasy is gone.
:/

Brilliant. A sign that at least some non-drug-users are wising up a little.

A shame this came weeks before yet another ban. Shows that the dumb and ignorant are still far overpowering the smart and knowledgeable.

The only thing I didn't agree with, lol, was ranking intoxication fourth. Sex is way below, and depending on what the term is (Priorities for a day, or a week, or a lifetime), it could be first.

wouldnt the best way to do it be to have clubs applying for a license to sell these drugs and in order to gain the license employ staff trained to recognise when someone has had too much. This way like bartenders they can refuse sale to the clearly mashed.

This method keeps users seperate from non users ensure a certain degree of safety generates income in the cost of the license taxation of drugs as well as ensuring relative purity.

and in venues with such a license alcohol sale is prohibited to further decrease the chances of adverse reactions.

If they start selling Ecstasy, in clubs, like they use to in Dallas, TX, Before 1985. I think thats the smartest decision they ever thought about it, because then It will be just MDMA created in a Laboratory, and water will be plenty available, and I think all the Clubbers would be better off this way, but of course the E tabs would have to be affordable, like 3 for a £10 or so, with 150mg-200mg each, and you could choose MDMA or MDA Tabs, with the DJ Logos on the Pills, or the Club Logo.

One day
Hopefully

the fifth place in the ranking is the urge of human being to believe on something that is impossible, like god, global warming, tv news, 2012 and what you said.
