No expectations, no dissapointments... just positivity

I don't really mean to offend anyone but maybe if some people here stopped spending so much time on their posts complaining or worrying about jaded people or whingers, then just maybe everyone would be a lot happier.
Why don't you all just go to the events you want to go to, and hell do what you want to do!! As long as you're not hurting anyone else who gives a fuck!!!!

Yech. Maybe it's the hormones talking, but you're all so ANGRY! Some of you are angry at the people who are angry at the people who are angry at the parties and jeebus! what a waste of time!
Eat fruit! Rub cocoa butter on your body! Drink full cream milk!
Lordy, I feel so Oceanboy.

Mr. Scatterface - do you so badly need to justify your own activities, that you feel so compelled to post a thread that exhibits the same qualities as those that you whinge about - grow up, deal with it and move on.
oh, and for good ol times - fuck PLUR :)

You always have to have the last word don't you Cynakill... ;)
I was merely just saying that everyone shouldn't be so concerned about what everyone else thinks, or complaining about people whinging. Don't listen if you don't like it, don't go if you don't like it, if you don't want to do something don't do it.
Just don't whinge and complain about it.

Is it in bluelight nature to try and prove yourself by finding an argument to any post and using it to build your own bluelight persona. There are some lovely open-minded people on this board but so many will rip-apart anyone on here just to make themselves feel good and of a higher status.
"grow up, deal with it and move on"...
Well by the immaturity and disrespect constantly shown by people on this message board i think the most mature thing to do is to get the hell away from it. It was nice to know you all bluelighters, i had something to share with you (and would have had a lot more), so thanks to those who listened and didn't debate just to justify their own actions.
you might see me at a rave with a massive smile on my face as you pass by... and i'll give you a hug if you look like a jaded mod or a bleulight crew member.
Peace and love,
Mick

I'd give my left nut to be able to run around at a rave grinning like a loon again. *sigh*
Unfortunately, for a variety of reasons, I just can't do it anymore - I'm not neccessarily jaded, just immune. :D
You'll have to pardon the cynics on this board DJ Scatterface - they've seen many a raver post about how much they love raves, how much plur rox and how much they love each other; only to find that same raver post about how jaded they are and how the scene is dying and wasn't as good as the old times. In fact, most of them went through the same 'growing up' process I just described.
I bet I can find post from Haste extolling the virtues of plur, and it's a piece of cake finding pekkies thread on how much she loves us all. There are even plurry Pleo threads too...

It's amazing how that all stopped when the drugs stopped - why is that? ;)
Maybe when I get back into it my PLUR will come back to me :D
and DJ Scatterface - don't dish out critism if you can't take it - simple. You had a go at jaded people and I had a go at you - I'm just more of an arsehole ;) What, in all honesty, did you expect was goin to happen? It was nothing personal...
and I attacked you to gain higher status *lol* - far from the truth, I'm sure there are more people here that hate me than like me.
...and if you're going to leave Bluelight over something so trivial then its your loss.

im quite confused as to the point of this thread... so us anti-plur people arent expected/allowed to voice our opinion regarding the subject?
as long as we agree to the PLUR way of life, we'll all be welcomed and accepted in this thread? sorry, i've got the real world to deal with and live in.
i dont think anyone has been too nasty or even assraped anyone in this thread, most of what should be taken in jest is pretty obvious. the rest that disagreed, were pretty honest explanations too.
seems to me that some of us are overreacting.

Just someone try and hate Haste...he's so plurry under all that jadedness you can't help but want to hug him! ;)
For the record i'm JADED and proud of that fact actually! The only thing to do with a PLUR sentiment is to PLUG it and sit there smiling to yourself!
...nuff said!

Dammit madmonkey, between you and doofqueen you're blowing my cover ;)

I'd like to take a neutral status in this debate if I may. I don't believe that DJ Scatterface was attempting to "take a stab" at "jaded" people. He was just voicing some observations he had made. If I may perhaps speak for him (as he has decided to give bluelight the big FO) i believe he was trying to point out that often people will bitch for the sake of bitching, and that the amount of unhappy looking people that he sees at events makes him wonder why these people bother to show up. I can speak for his observations as they are my own...and it just makes me wonder why people go to events when they (by all outward appearances) seem to not be enjoying it. I don't think he was trying to "bag" jaded people, imho the term jaded is way overused. I would just call it a different stage in the partying process, as it is all but inevitable.
On the flipside, people (on inthemix more than on bluelight) are prone to try to find any little problem with the parties they attend. I noticed this especially on the review threads to Welcome 2003... What I don't understand is why people attend future entertainment's events when they have been let down so many times before...and then have nothing to do but bitch about it like they were expecting anything different.
I dunno, IMO this is the battle that can't be won, just like the battle between Techno and Trance...but i wash my hands of it, as I know there can be no "winner" and there shouldn't have to be. Fuck it, i'll go to any party any night and love it if i try hard enough...it's up to you, and if you prefer to find faults instead of enjoy yourself...so beit. Peace, don't fight amongst our fellow "ravers" - Love, hug a stranger who looks jaded :D Unity, hah, as if...the "rave" community is based on disunity...Respect - IMO this is what it's about, I would just be happier if everyone would enjoy themselves like me...but that's a selfish dream.
BIG HUGS TO BLUELIGHT!!! (Yeah that's right)
PLUR :D

Ahh! A thread I'd been considering starting, albeit a bit differently.
I've come to realise that everytime I have high expectations of an event, it turns out shit. When I have no expectations, or even lowered expectations, such as Welcome 2003, I have a great time. So I'm debating with myself whether positivity is such a great thing in some circumstances. Of course it could be argued that if I'd only tried to have a good time, I would've. I dunno. I'm still debating that one.
The main idea of what Scatterface was talking about I do agree with though. Too many people do walk around like life is shit and don't appreciate anything. I work at Coles, and am generally a really happy smiley person. I've had so many people ask me why I'm so happy, like it's strange to be happy. I find that quite sad.
For my two cents on the PLUR debate: I think the idea of PLUr is a great one - obviously if everyone integrated plur into their lives, it would all be cool. Unfortunately I don't think that I have integrated it into my life as much as I should. It's all well and good chanting plur at a rave, but whats the point if you don't use it in everyday life?
However, I do see examples of plur. I was at a hip-hop/RnB club the other night, and I felt very plurry there. Everyone seemed to respect eachother, and it felt like a community. I was quite impressed.
So, to finish my long and disjointed ramblings: Long live PLUR in all aspects of life! And happy 21st to me! :)

Same here so these days I just go to have a good time with my friends and listen to some good music. It's a bonus if the event itself is mindblowing!!

Hhehehee thing is there's a hell of a lot of miserable sods that work at Coles, I should know cause I work there too, and yes a lot of people at my store don't smile very much!! I don't know what it's like at your store though.
I think you're onto something here. I may not be a plurry person, but there's nothing wrong with having a smile on your face. :)
