The Spaniards will be def. the favourites but it would be great if they got turned over.

As i have said throughout this thread Portugal have not got a decent striker & without Postiga ( as shit as he is) it will be intresting to see how they line up .
I would like to see the current best European footballer play through the middle it's not like he doesn't know where the net is ;)

I think Portugal will be a tough game for Spain, they'll play a vigorous game and as the score line proves on several of their games, they don't actually need Ronaldo to score. Spain are better, but so where AC Milan in 2005 with Pirlo, Kaka and Sheva at their prime, yet Liverpool won(Obviously they still had decent players too).

I think this time Portugal might pull it off, I hope the cheating/diving is kept to a minimum and the best team on the day prevails.

You can say whatever you want about us Italians, but Prandelli and his obsession for ethics has changed us a lot, I've been following Italy all my life and I've never seen any Italian team play so clean and honest, tells you a lot about the importance of coaching. Some of our players are compulsive divers in Serie A yet are well behaved in this tournament. That's one of the reasons why I never liked Guardiola, he can act like the second coming of Buddha all he wants but somebody must have coached his players to dive/cheat/wave imaginary cards at the ref, intimidate the ref and so on.

Hopefully we'll have a rematch of Spain-Italy in the final, which so far has been the best game, technically and tactically.
 
Pep nearly signed for West Ham on a free , he went Brescia instead .......

As a player he was pretty much a water carrier as they say for the likes of Rivaldo , Ronaldo , Figo etc.

I've seen him once playing for Seville he was turd , they had Luis Fabiano on the bench as well.
gutted cos i wanted to see him i did for 10 minutes . That match was crazy the K.O was 22:30 :? by the time it had finished all the buses had finished .

Didn't the England game (I use the word loosely as it obviously implies some sort of competitiveness) in Ukraine against Italy finish at something like 1am Ukraine time?

In Spain they have Mid Day K.Os then space it out throughout the day till fukin 22:30 .
All for the Arm Chair fans .

I'm wishing I'd put a tenner on portugal to win on penalties, bet the odds would have been good. Can see this going the distance.

The ref hasn't been great either missed a couple of definate free kicks, that one on Nani was surely obstruction.

Don't forget the only reason there are no openly gay players in Italy is that is really hard to come out of the closet while you still live at home with you mamma ;)

Mental Kenny I did give you enough credit in saying you were one of the top 4 teams of the tournament, but you can't tell me that the performance against England was a masterclass in entertaining football. I was married to an Italian and live for some time just down the road from you and have witness countless Italian finals where they just clam up and pray for penalties. (I've also seen grown men fight in front of the mirror just before we ran onto a pitch because the game was being televised and they needed to do their hair :().I hope you prove me wrong.
 
The only team that have played really great football so far is Germany. That said Italy were still entertaining to watch the other night, Pirlo is some player.
 
YES!! Get in! Now Portugal can have just a tiny, tiny taste of what it is like to go out on penalties! I can't believe that it was only their 3rd shootout, their other 2 being beating England twice. We've had 7 of the bastards, losing 6 of them. It's bloody horrible! I'd prefer to have something ludicrous like a 'hit the crossbar from the halfway line' challenge or a 'keep it up' contest just so we have a chance! Still lose probably tho!

What? Cos I changed my opinion? Germany in their last game played better football than anyone else has the rest of the tournament. Before that concidering the players they have and past preformance (a bit like Spain so far), they have not played their best. Is that enough for you, oh wise ault clout?

Portugal have lost 4 semi finals and a final, I think they've had their own taste of pain.


Ronaldo should be given a public flogging for being such a cowardless twat/egomaniac. Spain deserved it, turned into a dreadful game after the first 20 minutes. Playing Negredo and Almeida didnt help matters, awful choices.

Germany have the trophy in their pocket. Spain look jaded already.
 
Spain did look like their usual selves in extra time tho, they were only stopped by 2 very good saves. Germany Vs Spain SHOULD be a very good final if it happens.

Regarding Portugal, losing at home in the final to Greece must rank up there in the pain stakes, lol! I'm just incredibly bitter that England continually lose on penalties! Whether they're any good or not (and they're not) England will NEVER win anything until they start winning penalty shootouts, it's a massive monkey on their back.
