so recently i acquired eight hydrocodone 7.5/750 pills from my freind, anyway my first time i was unsure on how much to take so i took 1 and a half crushed up so 11.25 mg of hydrocodone. so after about a half hour i started to feel kinda spaced out and relaxed and after about an hour i felt slightly more spaces out. after this i decided i just hadnt taken enough so i took 2.5 pills or18.75 mgs and after about an hour and a half i was feeling kinda tired but very spaced out and kind of disy at about 2 hours the itch started and lasted for the rest of the experiance. still dissapointed i decided to take the last 4 pills i had or 30 mg of hydrocodone expecting that it would problly give me some euphoria however after about half an hour i was only at the same place i was witht he 2.5 pills and at one and a half hours only a little more spaced, kind of dizzy, nasues, and itchy but definatly no euphoria so i was just wondering after three tries i didnt get anything that came close to what i would consider euphoria, also these were no my first experiances about a month ago i had a couple mouthfully of codiene cough syrup and it gave me the warm relaxed content feeling i was expecting and more euphoria then any of these experiances. i was just wondering how this could happen and why?

Depends on how you define "euphoria", I would personally consider what you experienced to be "euphoria", but to each his own...

You were certainly feeling the effects of the hydrocodone with those doses.

Some people just don't have the same reaction to hydrocodone as other people do. In regards to you having positive experiences with codeine, you were probably consuming more opiate overall if you were drinking mouthfuls of codeine syrup, which would explain why you felt better on the codeine than on the hydrocodone

People often don't appreciate the opioid high when they first try it until they take doses that knock them over the head. Especially by spacing out doses, you made the effects less pronounced.

You definitely have to CWE if you're taking those doses because you took 3 grams of APAP at one time (you shouldn't exceed 2 grams in one dose and many don't feel comfortable exceeded 1).

You could try potentiation or just stick to drugs you like. In the future please post basic effects and dosages questions in Basic Drug Discussion. If you'd like more information, search around and check the directory as hydrocodone has been discussed a lot.
