Hello, I’ve been using cocaine for about 9 months now, every day all day, i have some type of undiagnosed sleeping disorder and i fall asleep anywhere doing anything and struggle to stay awake. i’ve totaled 2 cars now from falling asleep and it really messes up my everyday life. cocaine has been the only thing that has worked everything else that i’ve tried has done nothing. so this is the reason i use so much, i use approximately 1g a day and i know its messing up my nose. im not sure if thats the reason or something else but today ive been unable to feel the things that usually occur. I know its doing something because im still awake but the unusual things are, i feel like i could eat, my nose hasn’t been clogged all day, and i’ve had no post-nasal drip. is this normal or has anyone experienced this? if so, what is happening ?

I just wanted to chime in and say it sounds like you have narcolepsy. I don’t know a lot about the disorder but that they do actually prescribe stimulants for it. Usually amphetamines. Also for some reason they prescribe GHB? No idea how that works

Yeah of course! Weirdly enough for a little while I kept getting ads for a GHB based medication that is for narcolepsy. Seems like such a hyper specific ad to me. Have you always had these sleeping issues?

i don’t think so, i have such a terrible memory but in high school i don’t recall constantly falling asleep, it would happen occasionally but i feel like that kinda normal, i only ever remember it becoming an issue that was pointed out to me like a year ago, i was in an IOP treatment center and could not stay awake, i would drink so much coffee while taking caffeine pills and i would still fall asleep almost immediately after the class started, and it seems to have only gotten worse. I know cocaine definitely isn’t helping my sleep schedule it’s reversing it for sure and i’ve had problems with substance abuse in the past so it worries me how much i use but honestly addiction is the least of my worries right now because i know im able to ask for help if i need it, id rather develop an addiction and have to get treatment again than total another car and injure myself or someone else

Yeah not wanting to get into car accidents seems like a pretty valid reason for using stimulants. I guess that’s why they prescribe them lol
