Hello,

I got a prescription for Dihydrocodeine against coughing at night. So I took the chance to use it recreationally and ingested the whole bottle, equal to 150mg DHC. It was not my first time, I tried it in lower doses before, but with no effect at all. And even now, after quite a high dose, it doesn't even help me with my cough, not to mention any euphoria or recreational value. The same goes with Tramadol and Kratom, both have just no effects on me.
I don't have any opiate tolerance, so why are these chemicals inactive for me? Are there reported cases of people, who are "immune" to opiates?

Some people have higher natural tolerances to opiates. Its sometimes due to enzyme issues.

I'm not familiar enough with DHC to give you a more specific answer but even if I was I don't know anything about your medical history or past opiate use to give you an accurate answer.

There is no ceiling, so try to find the right dose if you want to abuse. But, you seem to be out, so, looks like that might not happen at the moment.

This isn't that strong of an opiate to begin with.

How do you know you don't have an opiate tolerance? You seem like a pretty intelligent person, re-read your question. You know that you should have an euphoric feeling, and you have established a recreational value or point system. I am not ashamed to say, I have been a hard hitter, but a "whole" bottle? But then you turn around and talk about tramadols which are considered to be pretty low on the opiate effect. I dunno maybe your asking how to mix things up which is pretty dangerous business. Tell your doc. about the stuff that doesn't work or ask somebody you really, really trust! Good luck and Happy Days!

Well, I am not popping in opiates randomly, the whole bottle DHC is not really much, it was the smallest one available in Germany, with only 150mg of the active substance. I never had any experiences on them with any recreational value, and my last try with tramadol (I think it was about 400mg, but don't really remember) was four months ago, kratom (10g Super Enhanced Thai) about two months ago, so tolerance is rather unlikely. Both doses are considered quite high, so I should have treshold effects at least, but Tramadol didn't even help with head aches.

Concerning my medical history, I was never treated with opiates, except of DHC this time, because of a prolonged cold. Perhaps it is important to know, that I am treated with 40mg Citalopram daily against depression (I was prescribed it after I had my go with tramadol, so no counteractions possible).

The reason I have easy access to prescription meds is, that my best friend is a doctor, and my grandpa, who died last year, left a small amount of tramadol and morphine.

And at Gen: What do you mean by re-reading my question? I don't take combining opiates into consideration, because of potentially lethal outcome. Maybe I should give morphine a try?

Some people don't get anything recreational out of DHC, and tramadol and kratom don't have super-strong opioid action. Opioids are not for everyone - if I were you I'd leave it at that - you might have potentially saved yourself from a lot of bother in the future!

This. Not only alot of bother, alot of money as well. Opiates/Opiods are great. But goddamn dealing with the people to get them or want them is a pain in the ass. Not to mention the money you will flush down the toilet to not be sick, and safety issues. Maybe it's a blessing in disguise.

And you didn't go with the morphine because? LOL
