Are there any single guys out there???

If you're like me then you stink at cooking, except for that ONE dish you're proud to call your own!

Maybe it's not a meal, maybe you just know how to cook up bacon perfectly! Please share your recipes, keep them simple and written for the layman or intoxicated!

Ps. I'm not gay and my girl hates cooking so that gave me the idea to start this thread since recipe websites are a dime a dozen and I actually CARE what you folks have to say!!

I was afraid of that. I have to pleed guilty on this one. I deliberately didn't search for a recipe thread before creating one. Sometimes being oblivious is fun! I was hoping I was onto something original, my heart was in the right place! I'll contribute to his thread instead, thanks for the heads up Cap! :)

Indeed they do.

Also, there's little gay about cooking there son. I've lost count of the number of ladies that I've gotten to know better over the discussion of cookery, cuisine, wine and cocktails.
 
I totally agree with you Dave. I thought about editing the "gay" part out after I wrote it because you're spot on. Afterall, a good idea has no gender. I guess I put gay in there to explain why I was asking about single guys, which was to draw attention.


I'll get the hang of this, one day!
 
I just went to click the "like" button on your post there tosh, which tells me that I have been mindslaved by facebook and I thank you for being there at my epiphany. I am not gay either but I understand exactly what you meant, and I love that part about a good idea having no gender.

Unfortunately I cant cook to save my life, although I think my go-to meal is pretty good and people seem to eat it without choking. I chuck a roast lamb half leg in the slowcooker with a bit of water in the bottom, rub some oil, rosemary, wholegrain mustard, crushed garlic and honey on it first, and put the lid on it for 6/7 hours on high.

Awesome and I literally cannot stuff it up coz I cant touch it.

Oh and I forgot to say that Im not a single man either, I'm a chick :)
 
That sounds pretty darn good there anti! Next time, try it with a bottle of ale, or a couple cups of full-bodied red wine, instead of the water. Greatness shall ensue!

I'll add a recipe soon...I was in food and beverage for over a decade-mostly fine dining restaurants-and was lucky to befriend some amazing chefs and get some trade secrets!!! :)
