NJ Syringes WTF ?!?!?

Ok so I have read on a couple websites that nj has ended the ban on over the counter syringes, I just called my pharmacy and they said that I have to have a prescription.


WTF is up with that.
 
under NJ state law, you do need to have a prescription in order to obtain them from a pharmacy. search google for places that sell syringes online, it's better than wandering around the streets looking for them and you probably won't be able to get a script from a dr. unelss you have a legit medical condition which requires the use of needles.
 
nj has plenty of needle exchanges now a days.. Camden, Atlantic city, etc
 
if you're close by new york they're over the counter, well behind the counter. all mom and pop type pharmacies will sell them to you in any amount no questions asked. some chains will hassle you if you look like a junkie, so you gotta clean yourself up if you want to get em from a chain.
 
in NY, you can buy them at some pharmacies for 25 cents a piece, or buy a 11 pack for $3.99. no prescription required, however you can still be charged with a misdeameanor if you in possession regardless if there s residue in it or not, plus they are plenty of needle exchange programs all over NY where you can obtain a card to legally possess syringes, but you cannot have residue in the syringe of any sort or you will be charged with 7th degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, class A misdeameanor. rite-Aid will sell you 11 packs no questions asked.

thanks for the welcoming back, u remember me? Um...i been home 2 months now, i did good the first month, as far as sobreity, but i still have other issues i need to deal with, u know the shit i been thru in jail..lonelyness, no girl right now really, no friends, i mean 3 years is a long time so i was outta the loop..i had a full time job 3rd shift, but i fell back into a short heroin binge, but as of right now..im stable, im good..i havent been shooting smack...just doing things right now and learning and moving on bro, thanks for the concern! i appreciate all those who had me in there thoughts while i was gone, my AOL/AIM is: ShockerTurboX

awesome! loosey points! But why do they sell "11-packs" not 10-packs, and how come they cost MORE than 11 singles?

good to hear, man, good to hear. stay strong, it only gets easier once you become assimilated. i'm sure a lot has changed in 3 years but you'll bounce back in no time. my coworker's son served almost 10 yrs for a crime he didn't commit and he seemed like he wasn't gonna survive outside cuz it was so different from the inside but he adjusted well. i think you have it in you, you just need to see that you do.

this thread is pretty old, but I just wanted to say if you live near NY which I do you can buy them at CVS. 10-packs by BD for $2.90. Pretty good deal especially if NY state is near you, which I am only 5min from the border
 
yeah, for me it's CVS, never had a problem getting the BD kind. but i once went to a small mom and pop shop cause it seemed like all the pharmacies just had 1/2 ccs. so i went into this mom and pop and they wouldn't sell to me without a prescription.

yeah I live in FL, you can get syringes anywhere. A ten back of BD ultrafine 29gauge 1cc insulin syringes is $2.09 after tax. You can get them at publix, sweetbay, walmart, cvs, walgreens, mom/pop shops, etc etc etc

they are OTC, some places require an 18+ ID and a signature, but I know Publix doesnt hassle you at all. You can buy boxes of 100 for like $18 if you want
 
The needle exchange in newark is on the corner of first street and central right off the first street exit from 280 E, Its the NJCRI building and its open til 430 i belive. You can go into almost any pharmacy in downtown Newark and buy boxes of sets over the counter, you might be IDed tho. Good luck
 
I think it's Mon/Tue 1p-4p & Wed-Fri 10a-1p for the Newark exchange
